Like much of the public, Remy Ma is thrilled by the news that Cardi B is pregnant and the hip-hop vet is praising the 25-year-old for not giving in to the way the industry says women should be.

“I’m crying real tears — happy tears. For so many years they made us (women) feel like we had to pretend to be single, pretend to not have a real life, and put our lives on hold to ‘entertain’ the masses,” Remy wrote on Instagram Sunday, April 8 of the “Bodak Yellow” MC. “Meanwhile, you feel trapped in your own body, a prisoner to your career, and so unhappy when you supposed to be having the time of your life. @IAmCardiB I am so happy you are free too💋#QueenSh*t #CongratulationsOnEVERYTHING.”

Remy herself knows the struggle between balancing work and family. After suffering from a miscarriage in 2017, her husband, fellow rapper Pappose, was adamant about his wife slowing down to gear up for a round of in vitro fertilization treatments to resume the process of expanding their family. The process was documented on the last season of “Love and Hip Hop.”

The MC’s IG caption accompanied a clip of a thrilled Cardi following the “Saturday Night Live” performance where she confirmed her impending motherhood.

“I’m finally free!” Cardi exclaimed backstage.

In response to Remy’s sweet message, several fans applauded the outpouring of sisterly support in the industry.

“I’m so happy you posted this,” a user commented. “I’m so tired of ppl pending you against her when it never was like that.”

“I love the support you give,” said another.

“This is why I love you!!” someone else said.

“Nice salute @remyma queen recognizing a queen 🤩,” someone commented. “This made my heart smile.”

“I love the support and sisterhood,” a commenter shared. “That positive energy and those vibes are contagious asf!!!! 👌🏾💯.”
