After the ongoing custody battle between Jesse Williams and his soon to be estranged wife Aryn Drake-Lee, the “Grey’s Anatomy” actor has been awarded joint physical custody of his children.
Drake-Lee and Williams signed off on court documents last week almost a year after Williams filed for the divorce according to documents obtained by People Magazine. The mother of 4-year-old Sadie and 2-year-old Maceo filed for sole physical custody in August 2017, but they were instead awarded joint legal custody.
The documents set a custodial schedule for the duo and works around star’s schedule when “Grey’s Anatomy” is in production. He will also have custody of the children every other weekend, two days each week and on Father’s Day. Williams and Drake-Lee will rotate custody of the kids on Thanksgiving, Easter, the Fourth of July, as well as birthdays reported by People.
The pair according to court documents is to “communicate exclusively through OurFamilyWizard,” which is a website created for divorced or separated parents that allows them to be in contact with one another. “In the event of an emergency” the former couple may only then communicate via text message or phone, the order states.
Drake-Lee and Williams were married for a total of five years until the film director filed for divorce in April of 2017. Williams agreed to pay $50,695 per month in spousal support in January, ET reported.
