Supermodel Tyra Banks has been modeling for years and even hosted a reality show “America’s Next Top Model” to help everyday girls break into the industry. Tyra’s modeling opened many doors for her to act, be featured in music videos and it landed her her own hit talk show “The Tyra Banks Show.” But she doesn’t want the same fate for her 2-year-old son.
The “America’s Next Top Model” host opened up about what the industry is like, especially for a male model. “Male models, I don’t know if they have the careers the female models tend to have.” She continued, “the female models tend to joke and go ‘they are our accessories. I have on earrings and some shoes, and I have a male model in the shot.’ You know that’s kind of what the girls tend to joke about.”
Banks explained what she would do in the event that York wanted to model. She said, “I wouldn’t love for him to model, but I wouldn’t tell him ‘don’t do it’ because then he’d do it more.” She continued, “I’m going to support what he wants and just hope it’s not modeling, but if it is, I’ll be telling him how to smize.”
