Cardi B‘s apparent diss to the Crips gang has lead to death threats and security for her upcoming club performances has been beefed up as a result.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper posted an Instagram photo on Monday, Feb. 5 in a blue fur coat with the caption, “I hate wearing Flue but this coat was too poppin’.”

Writing the term Crips use to avoid saying “blue,” the preferred color of the rival Blood gang, incited a firestorm of comments such as, “You will really get touched out here. Don’t ever speak on the crips as long as you live little girl!”

The rapper ultimately deleted the remarks but her safety remains a concern ahead of three Los Angeles club performances on NBA All-Star Weekend.

Yet canceling was not on the table.

Sources told TMZ Thursday, Feb. 8 that Murano, Penthouse and Ace of Diamonds are increasing armed security guards threefold and off-duty uniformed police officers will be on site.

Cardi B is reportedly getting $250,000 for the shows, which will go on Friday, Feb. 16 through Sunday, Feb. 18.
