During #BlackHistoryMonth, we celebrate heroes like Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who were sojourners for freedom – and we resolve to continue to bring greater equality, dignity, and opportunity to all Americans, regardless of race or background.

Ivanka Trump’s tweet to commemorate Black History Month has sparked outrage from many Twitter users. She tweets “During #BlackHistoryMonth, we celebrate heroes like Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who were sojourners for freedom – and we resolve to continue to bring greater equality, dignity, and opportunity to all Americans, regardless of race or background.”
Although she made a seemingly positive tweet, the statement about “opportunity to all Americans” made users react.
Did Ivanka just make #BlackHistoryMonth about ALL Americans? What is wrong with her? Plus, did she use "sojourners" in the correct context 🤔

Are you high?
April Fool's Day is on April 1st. February 1st is the beginning of #BlackHistoryMonth"– and we resolve to continue to bring greater equality, dignity, and opportunity to all Americans, regardless of race or background." pic.twitter.com/j1ZyCq7tHK

Still, there were a couple of people who saw the comment as positive.
Lady, you and your family, particularly your father, @POTUS hardly have a proven track record of success with “freedom for All Americans”, let alone African-Americans. You tried it though. #LivingInAnAlternativeReality
