- The Florida Senate voted to replace the Confederate Statue in the U.S. Capitol with a civil right leader. Leaders have chosen the civil-rights leader and educator Mary McLeod Bethune to replace it.
- Future printings of Oprah’s new book “The Wisdom of Sundays” will not feature Russell Simmons contributions. The decision comes as multiple sexual assault allegations are brought against the entertainer.
