Ever the die-hard Donald Trump supporter, Tomi Lahren eagerly engaged in a back and forth with rapper Wale after he took aim at her over her criticism of Jay-Z.
The former correspondent for “The Blaze” took aim at Jay for describing Trump as “the superbug.” Jay made the comment in response to Trump’s recent racist rhetoric, where he described African nations and Haiti as “shithole countries.” He had made an analogy about how racist thoughts manifest themselves in society.
“You don’t take care of the problem, you don’t take the trash out, you just keep spraying whatever over it to make it acceptable and as those things grow you create the superbug and now we have Donald Trump the superbug,” Jay said on “The Van Jones Show,” Saturday, Jan. 27. “I’m being funny but somewhere along his lineage, something happened to him. And he’s in pain and he’s expressing it in this sort of way.”
“As opposed to you who raps about b—-es and sisters and brags about selling crack,” Lahren tweeted Sunday, Jan. 28 in response. “Yeah…Trump is the problem…sure.”
Reigniting their past feud, Wale stepped in to school the conservative pundit.
“Tammy, he isn’t the president,” he tweeted, purposely misstating her name. “Also weren’t you just ‘rapping’ 21 Savage???.. go and sit down my friend.”
Lahren welcomed the critique and pointed out that Jay campaigned for former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton “pretty heavily.”
“Ya know, the woman famous for her ‘super predator‘ agenda,” she added, noting the former first lady’s own racist rhetoric. “Ironic, right?”
Then, the “Good to Great” rapper brought up Trump’s infamous “grab ’em by the p—-” remark, asking if a rapper used the line with Lahren’s name attached to it, “would u keep the same energy Tammy?”
But it doesn’t seem like Lahren would be bothered by that. And Twitter had lots of humorous reactions to the exchange.
Go for it. Wouldn’t be the first time I inspired a song for you. You’re welcome! https://t.co/J92DKloEpJ
