While Kevin Hart is winning praise for his #HurricaneHarveyChallenge encouraging celebs to donate $25,000 to relief efforts, Master P doesn’t think it’s necessary.
“I’m blessed that Kevin Hart made a donation, but I feel like he don’t have to do that because it’s not necessary,” P said in a video obtained by TMZ Wednesday, Aug. 30. “A lot of people gon’ do what they want to do — it’s their money. … It really don’t matter what it is, as long as you’re giving from your heart.”

Master P, who didn’t reveal the exact amount of funds he’s given to help the thousands who have been displaced by the natural disaster, (but noted it was a significant amount, according to TMZ) said people should be able to give what ever they can.
“Whatever you can do, [big or small], to help,” says the rapper who experienced flooding with Hurricane Katrina. “The people need food, water. Transportation is messed up in Houston. … A lot of the people right now [are] suffering. They’re not going to be able to get back in their homes.”
