Looks like Tyler, the Creator’s modus operandi is to keep fans guessing about his sexual orientation.

Days after revealing he had a boyfriend as a 15-year-old, Tyler retracted his statements on Twitter, saying Wednesday, Aug. 16, that it was just a “figure of speech.”

The tweet led fans to become skeptical …

… or just plain confused and tired of the back and forth.

Tyler’s backtrack followed his appearance on the Monday, Aug. 14, edition of the Koopz Tunes radio show, where the host introduced the MC by complimenting his open-mindedness.

“Open-minded now?” Tyler said. “I had a boyfriend when I was 15 in f—— Hawthorne [Calif.], n—-. If that’s not open-minded, I don’t know what the f— that is.”

Fans immediately latched onto the admission, which came after songs from Tyler’s album, “Flower Boy,” hinted at his nonconforming sexual orientation.

“Next line will have ’em like, ‘Whoa’/I been kissing white boys since 2004,” he rapped on “I Ain’t Got No Time.”

“The Garden Shed” also had lyrics that seemed to provide insight into Tyler’s preference for a partner.

“Truth is, since you kid, thought it was a phase/Thought it would be like the phrase ‘poof’; gone/But it’s still going on.”

One fan was irritated due to Tyler’s 213 variations of gay slurs on his 2011 album, “Goblin.”
