Jesse Williams Reportedly Renting Home Near Estranged Wife, But That Hasn’t Resulted In More Time with Children

New details have emerged in the custody battle between Jesse Williams and estranged wife Aryn Drake-Lee following the actor’s June filing.

Williams has reportedly bought a home 3 miles away from Drake-Lee’s house in order to be closer to their kids, according to a Thursday, July 5, report from TMZ. Reportedly to prove how involved he is as a parent, Williams listed the children’s favorite meals and their nicknames: “Sadie Munchkin” enjoys macaroni and cheese while “Mace” will eat “anything we put in front of [him].”

After Williams took the extra step to create an informal custody arrangement with his wife in June, Drake-Lee reportedly has not allowed him to see his two young children for more than three hours a day. She also apparently won’t allow Williams to have 3-year-old Sadie and 2-year-old Maceo overnight, so the actor wants a judge to give him more time with them.

The news echoes statements made in documents obtained by E! News in June, in which the “Grey’s Anatomy” star alleged, “Aryn has insisted that my time with the children be limited during the week to approximately two-and-a-half hours per day, despite my requests for more time, including overnights with the children.”

The activist filed for divorce from his wife of four years in April and claims Drake-Lee has made the custody process difficult, which is why he had to resort to legal action.
