Rob Kardashian became a trending topic for all the wrong reasons Wednesday, July 5, when he posted a barrage of “revenge porn” against ex-fiancée Blac Chyna on Instagram.
Kardashian accused Chyna of cheating, then posted a series of since-deleted Instagram posts and tweets of nude photos she supposedly sent to him. He also claimed she used him to get plastic surgery after giving birth to their 7-month-old daughter, Dream, and slammed her as a bad mother.
Lawyer Lisa Bloom told The Washington Post that California’s revenge porn law “clearly applies” to what he did to Chyna. Revenge porn is “an assertion of control and dominance,” Bloom said. The law, passed in 2013, makes it a criminal misdemeanor to post naked photos of someone without their consent to purposely inflict emotional distress.
“It’s disgusting,” Bloom said. “It’s a very modern way of being misogynistic.”
Chyna’s lawyer, Walter Mosley, told People magazine Thursday, July 6, he is “exploring all legal remedies” to present to his client. A day earlier, Chyna responded to Kardashian on Facebook saying she’s been called every name in the book — including gold digger and slut — her whole life.
“Everyone who knows me [knows] I ride for my kids so for somebody to publicly go and say otherwise really hurt me,” she said. “The reason I left me and Rob’s situation was because it was toxic and wasn’t moving forward. When I move forward I constantly have somebody tearing me down. I’m proud of the woman I am today because God will allow to me to overcome every obstacle that’s placed in front of me.”
All my life I’ve been called out of my name. I’ve been called a Hoe, slut, bitch, Gold digger, whore, stripper, you name…

But this isn’t the first time Kardashian has lashed out at a former girlfriend. In 2012, he accused Rita Ora of being unfaithful despite his own infidelities. His off-and-on relationship with the British pop star ended when he slut shamed her by accusing her of cheating on him with 20 men.
“The Real” co-host Adrienne Houghton dated Kardashian from 2007 to 2009 and pointed out the hypocritical response to men cheating vs. women doing the same.
“It’s common knowledge that he cheated on me, and it always bothered me that people were like, ‘Pero, why couldn’t you forgive him?’ Why are women always the ones who have to forgive?” Houghton told Latina magazine in 2014. “If you cheated on a man, he would be like, ‘You’re disgusting, and I want nothing to do with you.’ But women, we’re supposed to be like, ‘He messed up. He made a mistake.'”
