Kodak Black cleared up his comment about not liking Black women, but his initial statement had many saying they were never checking for him to begin with.

The rapper posted an Instagram video early Monday, June 26, with a caption that said he has no problem with Black women but prefers not to date ladies who have dark skin.

“I Love Black African American Women Its Just Not My Forte To Deal With A ‘DARKSKIN’ Woman,” he wrote. “I Prefer Them To Have A Lighter Complexion Than Me.”

He completed the post with the hashtags #MyPreference and #F—You.

Criticism came after Kodak answered fans’ questions about his dating preferences on Instagram Live last week.

“Keke Palmer, she straight,” the grill-wearing 20-year-old says. “I’d bag her, you know what I’m sayin’? But I don’t really like Black girls like that, sorta kinda.”

He expressed his interest in Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, Arianna Grande, Cardi B. and Kyle Jenner during the stream as well as Nicki Minaj, even though he said she had been “ran through.”

This isn’t the first time Kodak has exposed his color-stuck ways. He made his preference clear in his 2016 song “Fresh Out (My Struggle).”

“Where them yellow bones? / I don’t want no Black b—- / I’m already Black / Don’t need no Black b—-,” he rapped.

In response to Kodak’s live-stream admission, Black women declared he was never on their radar in the first place.

Others were thankful.

One vowed to stop supporting him.
