Adele Pulls a Kanye West After Winning Song of the Year and Record of the Year Over Beyoncé
British pop singer Adele upset Beyoncé to win two of the night’s biggest awards: Song of the Year for “Hello” and Record of the Year for “25.” When she accepted her second gramophone, the singer tearfully stated Bey’s visual album “Lemonade” should have taken home the big honor.
“The ‘Lemonade’ album was just so monumental,” Adele said, pushing a grateful Beyoncé to tears. “All of us artists here adore you and you are a light. And the way you made me and my friends feel — the way you made my Black friends feel — is empowering.”
