Hostage-takers at Vaughn Correctional Facility told Delaware’s The News Journal Wednesday, Feb. 1, that their rebellion was in direct response to the recent policies enacted by President Donald Trump. One inmate, who said he was a hostage, spoke to the local paper via telephone on Wednesday, confirming that the hostage-takers’ grievances included President Trump.

“Everything that he did. All the things that he’s doing now,” the unnamed inmate said. “We know that the institution is going to change for the worse.”
