During an exclusive interview with the Tax Season podcast, rapper Meek Mill discusses why Black celebrities who say  “All Lives Matter” are ignoring the plight of Black people in America.

In the clip posted on the rapper’s Instagram, he reveals his frustration and calls out celebrities who have let their wealth redefine their views. Meek Mill adds that Black people have to liberate themselves before teaming up and helping others achieve equality.

“Right now, we gotta get our rights right. We gotta get what we need right. That’s why they’re saying ‘Black Lives Matter,’ ” he says. “When I see other celebrities say ‘All Lives Matter,’ I be like, ‘What you talking about? Y’all n—as got this rich?’ ”

The 29-year-old continues his rant, adding that American police have a deadly double standard that ruins the lives of young Black people.

“The hood is flooded with drugs,” he proclaims. “… College campuses [are] flooded with drugs the same way the hood is. You think they got NARCs running around pulling guns out on people and shooting them? F— no! So why would you open your mouth and say ‘All Lives Matter? …That was never the issue. We’re talking about us getting killed on paper and going to jail for no reason.”
