Black Woman en Route to Work Gunned Down by White Male After Traffic Accident

On Saturday, Aug. 27, a white Solon, Ohio man murdered a Black driver after the two were involved in a near-fatal car collision.

According to Cleveland 19, 29-year-old Matthew Desha crashed his SUV into 53-year-old Deborah Pearl’s sedan.

Investigators tell the outlet that Desha ran a red light at an intersection and sped into Pearl’s car.

The 29-year-old’s SUV rammed into the sedan at high speed.

Consequently, Desha’s vehicle flipped, according to eye witness and 911 caller Barbara Bartels.

“There’s a car flipped over in front of our house and another car on the corner.”

But, both drivers made it out alive.

Then, Desha exited the vehicle with a 5.56-millimeter high powered assault rifle in hand. He proceeded to the woman’s vehicle.

The New York Daily News reports that the 53-year-old woman held her hands up before Desha fired his weapon.

Eye witnesses tells reporters they heard 12 shots.

Subsequently, the man took aim at other drivers after killing the 53-year-old, says Bartels.

Police found the woman on the ground bleeding out from the gunshot wounds.

“When our officers arrived they found a man with a rifle in the vicinity. He was taken into custody immediately” said Solon Police Lt. Bruce Felton.

Now, Desha has been charged with murder.
