Charles Blow Loses it On Trump’s Diversity Chair: ‘Be Quiet !’

On the Aug. 22 edition of “CNN Tonight with Don Lemon,” New York Times columnist Charles Blow and Donald Trump’s National Diversity Coalition chairman Bruce Lavell spar over the Republican presidential nominee’s attempt to reach Black voters.

In the 5-minute clip, Lavell begins to take personal jabs at Blow after demanding that the columnist mention a time Trump talked down to Black voters.

“Name one statement that you’ve heard Donald Trump say about African-Americans,” Lavell demands.

Blow does not answer him but he does requests that Lavell be quiet.

Before calling out Trump, the columnist called anyone supporting the nominee a bigot.

“Anyone who supports it, is promoting it — and that makes you part of the bigotry itself.”

In between Blow’s statements, Lavell and the columnist would trade insults.

“I’m not part of the Clinton campaign,” Blow proclaims. “I’m a Black man in America. And I know a bigot when I see a bigot. And you are supporting a bigot. And that makes you part of the bigotry that is Donald Trump.”
