The “Hidden Figures” official trailer dropped online Sunday during NBC’s 2016 Olympics coverage.
Directed by Theodore Melfi, the film will tell the incredible story of the first Black female mathematicians working at NASA.
Melfi will be working from a script based on the book of the same title by Margot Lee Shetterly,
The cast includes award-winning actresses Octavia Spencer and Taraji P. Henson and pop star Janelle Monae as our leads.
Henson portrays human computer Katherine Johnson who calculated precise flight trajectories in the 1960s.
Janelle Monae is Mary Jackson, the first female engineer at NASA of any race.
Twentieth Century Fox’s “Hidden Figures” will be released nationwide Jan. 13, 2017.
