This Kenyan Olympic Javelin Thrower Taught Himself with Youtube Videos, Now He’s a Champion


A native Kenyan javelin thrower is making a splash while representing his country at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

In the video by Playground Magazine, Julius Yego reveals that he taught himself how to throw a javelin by watching YouTube videos and through trial and error. The 28-year-old has earned five gold medals in his young career.

Now, the world champion javelin thrower plans to add to his trophy case.
