‘First the Water, Now the Trash:’ Furious Flint Residents Lose All Hope In Government After Trash Collection Stops

As the city of Flint, Michigan makes gradual progress over contaminated tap water, residents are faced with new challenge as city has ended trash pickup as of August 1.

According to Fox 2 Detroit, trash collection in the city has been halted over a contract issues.

The city government is in the midst of a fight over keeping the old provider or going with a new trash collection service.

As for now, residents have been advised to keep trash inside until further notice.
