Kevin Hart is calling on his famous Hollywood friends to come up with a solution to the massive amount of violence breaking out across America this week. Atlanta Black Star reports, Alton Sterling was shot and killed by police in Baton Rouge, Louisiana July 6 at a local convenience store. The next dayPhilando Castile of St. Paul, Minnesota was shot and killed by a cop during a traffic stop. A Black Lives Matter protest was held in Dallas, Texas that night as a result. The peaceful event ended in violence as snipers shot and killed five officers, wounding seven others and injuring two civilians.

“Violence is not the answer,” Hart captioned the Instagram post below.

The actor-producer also urged high-power celebrities to come together to make a change in race relations and community interactions with law enforcement.

“We can do better people,” he wrote. “Don’t let the media force a race war…let’s be smarter than that. LIVE LOVE & LAUGH.”

Hart is discouraging what rapper Joey Badass feared, though the MC pointed to the government as the culprit.

“With all of the conflict and propaganda, I believe they are simply trying to start a civil war within the USA amongst black & white,” the rapper wrote in part. “They are simply pushing us to our limit so that we can all get together and rebel so that it makes it easier for them to kill us (black people mostly and anyone who acts out against them).”

But he is not the only person who believes a race war is being incited.

A commenter on Hart’s post said the government wants Blacks to kill one another so authorities can win the battle.

On Twitter, Richard Steele pointed to the media’s skewed depiction of Micah Xavier Johnson – the gunman involved in killing Dallas police Thursday night.

Journalist Jamelle Bouie said a race war would give people a reason to make wishes for violence against African-Americans a reality.

But rapper Talib Kweli believes there is no race war since Black people are not aiming to murder whites. Rather, only white police are killing African-Americans.
