McKinney, Texas Teen at Center of Police Brutality at Pool Party Fuming After Officer Walks Free

In an exclusive interview with Inside Edition Tuesday, the McKinney, Texas teen who was violently wrestled to the ground by a white police officer at a pool party speaks out about the viral incident a year later.

Last week, a grand jury decided not to bring criminal charges against McKinney, Texas Officer Eric Casebolt for wrestling and manhandling 15-year-old Dajerria Becton at a pool party last year.

The teen says she was terrified because she did not know what he was going to do to her.

“I was shocked and confused,” she recalls.

Becton tells reporters that she was enjoying the pool party when dozens of uninvited guests showed up and then chaos began.

The video of the incident landed on the web instantly, leading to the officer’s resignation.

“It makes me angry,” Becton reflects on the no-charges decision. “They just let him off. There should have been consequences.”
