A team of Italian and Egyptian researchers used cutting-edge X-ray technology to examine King Tutankhamun’s long-lost knife. They discovered that the knife is mostly composed of iron, small amounts of nickel, and cobalt. Researchers have concluded that the knife was built using material from one of the oldest objects in the Solar System: an iron meteorite.
The young Pharaoh ruled Ancient Egypt between the years 1332 and 1323 BCE leaving behind one of Kemet’s luxurious tombs. For that very reason, his tomb has been under extreme observation since its excavation in 1922.
