A Trump rally in California spurred a violent, chaotic wave of protests outside the OC Fair & Event Center Thursday night.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump addressed several thousand supporters at the event center’s amphitheater. However, thousands of anti-Trump protesters stormed the streets in an attempt to counter the politician’s dangerous rhetoric.
These protesters damaged property, police vehicles and came to blows with Trump supporters on Orange County streets.
According to CNN, the protesters blocked the main intersection near the venue. Officers from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department tried and failed to remove the protesters from the busy road. Authorities report via Twitter that 20 people were arrested from Thursday night’s chaos.
