A teacher’s aide at a Milwaukee high school was arrested after video footage showed him pushing and slamming a student to the floor. The 39-year-old man was charged with child abuse and the 14-year-old boy was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.
Jacquan-Anthony Wilder, a student at the school told the local news station, “I was just watching it like ‘this is unreal. I cannot believe this.”
Milwaukee Public Schools says it is cooperating with police. As soon as they were shown the video, the Bay View High School staff member was removed from the premises.
“It was actually kind of scary. Like, I cannot believe this is happening,” said Wilder.
