A segment on “The Daily Show” explores the racial biases people have in online dating. Correspondents Jessica Williams and Ronny Chieng learned shocking statistics as they spoke with experts on the subject. For example, 82 percent of non-Black men have a bias against Black women. As the correspondents spoke with daters, they learned Black women who have dated online have dealt with stereotypes and racism. These attitudes are deemed sexual racism, which is based on the media feeding images of white love. When Black people aren’t seen in happy relationships, it creates the idea that it doesn’t exist.
