Ernie Banks (Jan. 31, 1931 – Jan. 23, 2015)
Ernie Banks, also known as Mr. Sunshine and Mr. Cub, lived to be 83-years-old. He earned those nicknames because he had a long career as a Chicago Cub from 1953-71 and was one of the first Black players in the MLB. He was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame in 1977 for his extraordinary career as a shortstop and first baseman.
