Two women have filed separate civil suits against Oklahoma City and Holtzclaw. Demetria Campbell claims that as she walked out of a restaurant, Holtzclaw slammed her into the the side of the building without provocation. “He then slammed her face and head against the brick wall and pressed his crotch area against her backside while exhibiting an obvious erection,” the complaint states. Campbell said he accused her fitting the description of a car thief. He then placed her into his patrol car and drove her around before finally releasing her without charges.

Campbell immediately went to the emergency room, where a nurse demanded to see a police supervisor who apologized for the episode.

The second woman, Shandegreon Hill, says she was assaulted in an empty room at South West Medical Center. She is suing the city for knowing about Holtzclaw’s “pattern and practice of committing rape, sexual assaults, battery and intimidation against certain citizens under the protection of the city through the misuse of his position.”
