Bobby Brown Briefly Breaks Silence on Bobbi Kristina During L.A. Performance Before Rushing Back to Her Bedside in ATL

Bobbi Kristina coma Bobby Brown has taken to the stage and broken his silence about Bobbi Kristina for the first time since his daughter was discovered face down in the bathtub in her Roswell home back in January.

When Bobby Brown performed at the Soul Food Festival in Los Angeles on Saturday, he took that time in the spotlight to briefly address the recent tragedy that his family has been facing.

It’s been more than two months since Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of Brown and Whitney Houston, was found unconscious in her home and doctors have been tight lipped about the starlet’s progress for quite a few weeks.

While Brown broke his silence about the matter, he didn’t actually provide the public with any new details.

“I wanna thank all of y’all for coming out tonight, for supporting me and my family,” Brown said on stage after his opening song. “Rough times are rough times. Hard times are hard times. I don’t know what the hell I’m going through right now, but I’m giving it to God.”

That’s about as much as Brown had to say about the matter so it isn’t clear if the now 22-year-old has made any major improvements.

The last time sources released information about her condition, they revealed concerns that Bobbi may suffer from permanent neurological damage even if she does regain consciousness.

Brown is in charge of making any medical decisions for his daughter.

Brown’s brief appearance at the Soul Food Festival served as yet another reminder of just how worried and concerned the soulful crooner has been about his daughter.

Immediately after finishing his set, sources tell PEOPLE that Brown rushed to the airport to return to his daughter’s side.

The 46-year-old R&B star immediately boarded a return flight to Atlanta where he reunited with others participating in a vigil for Bobbi, PEOPLE reported.

The weekend performance marks the first time sources say Brown left his daughter’s side since the tragedy unfolded.

As he remains at his daughter’s side, hoping she will make a full recovery, Brown is also expecting a new addition to his family this summer.

Alicia Etheredge-Brown, Brown’s wife, is due in July with the couple’s second child.

While attending the Soul Food Festival she added that Brown and his family are “doing as well as you’d expect.”

The new baby will be Brown’s sixth child. Bobbi Kristina is his youngest of his five children and Houston’s only child.
