  1. Karl Makinda says:

I appreciate the young man's passionate expression in defense of his race, but he is wrong to have asserted that segregation is worse than slavery. Frankly if he really means that, he should be dismissed as a blabber-mouth chap. In contrast, if he is using hyperbolic or exaggerated statements as a form of shock treatment–to inspire people to a certain degree of consciousness to change their lives–he has my support. (Folks, a great many of us do not understand the horrors of slavery).

  2. God had 12 tribes (definition culture and race) he gave each tribe their own land also Nimrod was trying to do just what colonization has done and what happen with that.

Sorry hun but the bible was created by a white man. You should open your 3rd eye more often!

  6. Binah Baht Ysrayl says:

His point is more to the point of how we treated each other. I agree. During slavery for the most part others were treating us horribly, yes. But it is only when you are divided as a people that you are really conquered.

  7. Karl Makinda says:

Miss Binah, I do appreciate the young man's commentary and your observation;even so, we need to understand the complexities of slavery.. The wanton killings in our communities did not seem to have taken place during slavery, but harmony did not seem to have existed among the slaves. We should remember that during that time there was social ranks, with the field slaves being among the lowest ranking. There were also slaves, w ho were trained and expected to arrest runaway slaves, and spies who would not fail to reveal any plot against these system What goes on in today's society is not much different from what went on in some slave societies overall.

  8. Meek ImHotep'Haitian-King Zamor Thank you for that conformation.

  9. see there's nothing wrong with integration we've been up under each other for 400 yrs whites and blacks but in a perverted way. many blacks work with whites, and live in the same neighborhoods and same integrated schools people at this level can be socially lazy and these people don't want to hurt their white friends, neighbors or acquaintances. so many white people take on this role of being afraid and apprehensive in avoiding meaningful racial dialog that would benefit them too. but due to the shame of their past in how perverted things really were back then things will remain at a snail's pace bc black people don't want to push things along and go it on our own power. and we have the power is what Banner is saying w/o having to see what white folks are going to do or say or perceive as threatening…pro black doesn't have to mean anti white.

  11. Yes, there is a problem with integration, because you dont strive as a race. Its about competition and until we realize this you will be wiped out. Economically, Politically, Educationally, and Spiritually. Just because you're in Rome, doesn't mean you have to do as the Romans.

  12. finally! OKLAHOMA 1920 prime example of what David Banner is explaining.
Rosewood another example. Check out those stories then talk to me intergration.

  13. Marcus you took the words right out of my mouth. Tulsa & Rosewood were exactly what David is referring to. Unfortunately, we don't do our research to know that we once had our own and didn't need anyone else to prosper. The sad part is that we have far more "black wealth" now and could easily begin the process of what I call separation, not segregation, than we had back then. The fear with doing that is what integration has done to us.

  14. Marc Francois says:

This is an intelligent take on the situation. I need something more elaborate from Mr. Banner. But I can see where he is coming from.

  15. Goya Grant says:

Much respect to David Banner, and he is absolutely correct. The problem is our people has fallen in loved with wicked ass system, so we are blinded by the shine. Christ believe in separation ,he will separate the wheat from the tare. The bible teaches separation , from the front to the back. Most kemetic brother and sistas only see skin color and not psychology , a game played on our people to separate us from our on wisdom. They are running the world with your bible ,and teaching you to dress like Egyptians. Shalom

  16. Indeed, blacks everywhere must learn to eschew the unhelpful live and let die attitude against other blacks, the habit of seeing fellow blacks as enemies, betraying other blacks. Such dangerous attitudes contributed incalculably in making enslavement and colonization a success. They are still part of the reasons the black race, the African continent and its resources are being manipulated by others.

  18. Karl Makinda says:

King C. Asante-Yeboa, brother, well-said, but I am inclined to believe that betrayal among us, as it is among other groups, is s controversial matter. The police could easily coerce suspect to lie on their neighbours….

  19. Everyone is ignoring the huge ping polka-dot elephant in the room. Firstly, the people you all are talking about, you know, the ones that indeed ARE enemies to fellow blacks, aren't even in this forum. They never hear the prophetic, eloquent words spoken here. The people you all are talking about, the uneducated mother with five kids by five different men, living in low income houseing, on welfare. The mother that doesn't care that her children are a menace to society, that they never go to school, or when they do, they're a menace to the school itself. The mother that doesn't care that her children break into the houses of the few hard working people in the neighborhood and bring the stolen goods home to her house. Those people are not here! They're illiterate, uneducated, and couldn't give a rat's a$$ about you, me or any other person, black, white, brown or blue. They don't even own a computer, if they do, they don't know how to use it because it's stolen. They are the people that gives the rest of us a bad name. Until we can change that dynamic of black society we're nowhere, and fast. These people are also the enemy. I live in such a neighborhood. My family has been in this neighborhood for almost fifty years. When it was a suburb. Now, it's got to be one of America's poorest and most dangerous places to live. When you see life from this angle, you understand that we don't need white supremacy, white priviledge or any of those things to destroy ourselves. We need no help in bringing and keeping our ownselves down. Until you can do something about THAT kind of mentality, you're nowhere because people like that are EVERYWHERE.

  20. Karl Makinda says:

Will Ewing Sr., you have reasoned very well. You are correct in concluding that the people who need to inspired are not online, but they do have to be. You see, brother, this network is best seen as a forum for discussions intended to improve live for our people. Those of us who are capable and willing are should attempt to inspire the downtrodden and other individually and collectively as much as possible. In other, words, this is similar to a meeting place send and received inspirational messages. I am currently looking for a post as talk-show host to enlighten as many of our people. I am a Garveyite, believer in the philosophy of Marcus Garvey, who attempted to rescue the Black race from the bottom of the ladder between 1914 and 1940. If you have not yet read Marcus Garvey's "Philosophy and Opinions of Marcus Garvey," I would urge you to get a copy and see if you are able to draw anything form it.
