Prime minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, has appealed to members of the local business community to work together while taking advantage of the benefits that will come to the country from the Argyle International Airport.

The prime minister spoke on the issue while delivering remarks at an event hosted by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

He also appealed to hoteliers to increase their number of available rooms, while pointing out that the government will offer them a number of concessions to grow their businesses in this regard. He also said that a number of business persons have already started taking advantage of these opportunities.

The prime minister further stated that the country has a lot of available land for the development of hotels and he appealed to local business operators to band together to develop these lands before the airport commences operations.
