Not Good for ‘Degenerate’ Races
It started with Harry Anslinger, considered “the father of the war on weed.” He was the first commissioner of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics, which later became the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration). He said marijuana had an “effect on the degenerate races” and made its prohibition a top priority.
