Why am I NOT SURPRISED that a white man can fight kick punch, the RUN OFF, without a shot being fired. The disparity of justice in America defies belief!
If that was a black guy for sure they probably shoot him while trying to cuff him, anyone notice how gentle they were with him and funny they brought out tasers and not guns fearing for their lives, yet a 8 year old black boy is killed without wincing…
The main reason most Klanspeople were calling the Mike Brown killing "justified"was just seen before their eyes and yet you hear nothing from them in the comment section here.
I wouldn't even respond to his ignorance Jessica Perkins….he surfs Atlanta Blackstar just to have his 2 minutes of fame they always tough behind the monitor
Wayne Jessop people tend to commit crimes against people in their own areas… so the next time a black man murders some white child… I'm going to bring up white on white crime and tell you to stfu
Rahk Numbas Evans go back to your country…kill urself racist fuck..blacks had to defend themselves…from their white opressors for hundreds of yrs. If blacks were so violent why did millions of them were taken and made slaves?asshole…did you ever see pics of blacks being hung from trees being lynched amongst other atrocities? until you do..then come again and say blacks are violent…nothing more violent then the white people that commit violent crimes, but that's not being reported ever wonder why..i hate ignorant people like you…go back to where ever you came from…we have enough hate geared towards us enough here in america without some foreigners joining the band wagon!
Donna Hamilton that was sarcasm. in other words, this guy is WHITE an acting violent and they always claim black men to be violent. Me saying they didn't shoot him because he white wasn't funny.
He wasn't shot, as police often do when they claim that they fear for their life and the life of the community when attacked by a black person. You missing the "astonishing" part speaks volumes.
It's a false equivalency to deflect from the issue at hand. Fox garbage News pander this nonsense and people like him gobble it up as fact without even doing some research…
Because if they did they would have known that Obama tried to addressed the issue of black on black crime (My Brother's Keeper Initiative) but of course he was playing the race card according to Fox News and other right wing authoritative nut spaces.
Wayne Jessop the most violent race in the history of mankind is the white race.Do you know your kind solve everything through bombs and guns?Tasmania,Hitler, slobodan milosevic?just to name a few?Africa has its fair share of these but the last time i check Africa does not manufacture mk-47's and berratas and land mines.Idiot
@antoniojose you live in a different reality. All the black men who have RECENTLY been killed unarmed, on film and you think it's because he didn't have a weapon? Take off those "blacks are just violent criminal" lenses you've been trained to see life through. Just look at events from this year alone and you'll prove yourself wrong.
Antonio José you mean like brown did? but that ''thug'' deserved to die.
People in the store and possibly outside and this guy is being a menance while brown was what 30 yards away from the officer and got shot 10 time.
Rahk Numbas Evans "blacks are just violent criminal" lenses?
Please, Rahk, people is people no matter nationality or skin color.
If white, black, chinese or indian (or any mix of them) have a weapon and try to use it against the law, the police may stop them as they can. If they don't use weapons then electric shocks or any other unarmed methods are used.
Do you really think if guy on video shows a lethal weapon the police don't try to stop him with their guns? The cops used electric shocks BECAUSE the guy doesn't show any lethal weapon, not by his skin color.
Jessika R. Pastora Lopez Sorry, Jessika, in this post I just see the video with two cops trying to stop a man and he fights just with his hands. They shot him electricity (three times I think) and the man runs away.
I didn't see the one you refers about the "30 yards away from the officer". Can you link this for me?
Antonio José I am talking about brown being unarmed and yards away from officer. Anyway if this guy had been black he would of been shot. Hell he would of been shot if he'd been spanish. Brown might or might not deserve his fate i wasn't there, but this guy clearly attacked not 1 BUT 2 officers while possibly endangering bystanders and basically walked out the store with all his limbs intact. Not even a nightstick was used on the guy :/
To all of you making comments on why he hasn't been shot, and "If he was black". Take a look a ferguson, you have destroyed your own community's, assaulted police, you have killed eachother for no reason for decades. Ask yourselves why the cops are so quick to shoot a black person….. Is it right? no it's downright wrong and it's sad that this is what the world has become, but lets be serious.
My same observation. This is what normally happen to a violent white person being obtain by cops (Corrupt, Opportunist, Pigs in Suits) . However, a black compliant man will be shot dead if even even had thoughts of defending himself from pigs. The injustice. You young black men better realize that this system is not for you.
All you idiots saying he would have been shot for sure if he was black have obviously not watched COPS or seen this sort of stuff in your everyday lives. I have seen blacks and people of other races fight cops and get tazed instead of shot plenty of times. Stop stoking racial hatred, folks. It is a fact that more whites are shot and killed by LEOs than blacks.
Now this is just my opinion, but I believe they used non lethal force due to the close quarters. The officers didn't wasn't too risk injuring each other or the employees of the restaurant. Had this been out in the open out had it just been one responding officer I fully believe they would have shot this POS

Ernie Stewart you are even dumber to suggest a its fake with any evidence.except of course you work for the Blackstar which we all know you don't.That aside Mr "clever"how often do you year a black cop shot a defenseless white kid?Idiot.
How can you compare these two situations? Here, we have a big dumb guy that doesn't want to go in cuffs. In Ferguson, there was a serious threat posed to an ususpecting officer and it ended badly. You people make it seem like because one person died threatening police, they all sound be shot to death. The man was already being arrested, which means he had no weapons and was not a threat to himself or anyone else. By law, this means you are not allowed to use lethal force. The law has been carefully created through decades of change and court cases to make it what it is today. Yes, there was a time in our history where you could take down an unarmed threat that was fleeing a robbery but that was deemed unjust and since changed. No, our system is not perfect but demonizing police and making this a race issue is extremely counterproductive
The cops aren't Zimmerman or Wilson. Don't let bad apples represent the whole majority. We need to fight injustice with justice. God lots of you sounds like you want the guy to be shot in order for things to be "even". Open your eyes. There are enough hatred in this world 10 times over. The cops are incompetent for letting the guy get away, and under no circumstances were they suppose to pull a gun out and shoot at the guy. 2 of them should of been physically enough to constraint him. More P.T maybe for the out of shape officiers maybe?
You people bring this shit on yourself. You don't see whitie rioting over this. Destroying their neighborhoods saying that everyone is against us! Get jobs and respect other people's properties! Burning buildings and destruction gets you nowhere. When are you people going to figure this out?
Jon Madison Okay? What exactly do you want to convince me? Like yes there are some cops that do a bad job, that is a given with the amount of power and pressure the job entails. It would be cool to hear facts and reason! All I have heard is emotion and outrage from the other corner…
When you actually give us the jobs when we apply for them instead of giving them to illegals, your friends, or someone who looks like you! When are you going to figure that out?
8 year old black boy? I don't doubt it at all, but I'm curious as to which case you're referring to. I'm sure it's happened, I just haven't heard of it. Care to spread the word as to which case you're referring to? Sounds like something people might need to hear. 😕
Antonio Jose' You're missing the point. Michael Brown & Trayvon Martin didn't have a weapon but they were both shot dead. And there was speculation that they were the aggressor in both cases. Here you have a video showing the guy resisting arrest, attacking the officers and he lives to tell about it. They could've easily pulled their guns, but that wasn't their first choice. More often than not, when it is a black male, the gun is the first answer of resolve.

Antonio José It already happened in real life. You seem to be suffering from a severe case of rectal cranial inversion. I'd get that checked out immediately.
Solomon Terra I believe they mean the 12-year-old boy who was shot, carrying a toy gun. The boy happened to be black. Apparently, the "gun" lacked the orange tip that is supposed to be on there to indicate that it's fake, and he was "waving it around" according to the 911 call. However, the caller also informed dispatch that "the gun is probably fake," but the officers still assumed it was real, arrived at the scene, and shot him (twice I believe).
Vida Pérez Velázquez I am cordial with my comments. Using bad words will not give you the reason. If you have arguments, with my limited english I can talk. No insults.

Those cops were in pathetic physical shape. The fat one trying to handcuff the guy could barely get down on his knees. Didn't these cops get any self-defense training? This guy would have been easy to take down. An open palm to the chin and he would have dropped quick. These cops should be embarrassed about their physical health. What if they actually had to run?
Antonio José I too was cordial and used no bad words. As I stated it already has happened in real life, not just in some hypothetical scenario. Choosing to ignore what has already occurred in reality is your choice but only diminishes your credibility. Have a good day.

Austin Karls "The law has been carefully created through decades of change and court cases to make it what it is today." Based on your statement, the laws created today are that which were never intended to protect us. That's why they were "carefully" created. Why would you punish yourself by protect something that was once perceived as slave/property that you owned? There have been some fundamental changes to the laws to include people of color, however, if the executors of said laws are of the mindset of racist, then your fundament changes are useless. I will agree that not all officers are corrupt, but the same principle can be applied to blacks. Not all are bad.
Ahhh so confirmation of weapons was the problem I get it. So what about the Colorado shooter that arrested even though he had killed several people and was armed head to toe? Or what about the Bundy ranch standoff where ranchers pointed weapons at federal agents? I could go on forever but your blindness won't change. You see what you want to see because you're not in the cross
hairs
No. We see whitie rioting over the Giants winning the World Series and the destruction caused being replaced without hesitation. We see whitie enforcing laws that were created for them, not anyone else. When are you people going to figure THIS out?
You're right. It's not like blacks killed an entire race of indigenous "Native Americans" and stole their land, or killed countless blacks during slavery, or accept every possible opportunity to "assist" with violence in another country that has nothing to do with them, or drop bombs on two entire countries as retaliation for the wrongs of their military. America is at war as often as most countries in the Eastern Hemisphere… but they know the importance of painting a pretty picture so the violence is acceptable in the public eye as well as the importance of never "hosting the party"; which is why there are American military bases across the globe but none of those countries have bases in America. So much for mutual benefit.
Why would anyone be surprised by this? We've seen evidence of this long before now. The guy who rolled up in the movie theater and started gunning down folks. The number of people WITH weapons confronted with less violence and live to go to jail or hospital for mental health. It is a preconceived notion that ALL African Americans are aggressive & violent and can only be met with aggression & violence. This has been ingrained in the heads of people since slaves were brought here. In their eyes, we were a civilization of animals.
They aren't saying that they want to see him dead, they are saying what is the difference between black life and white life. If this person was black and was resisting arrest they would have shot him and killed him. case closed.
Why is everything compared to Ferguson? Thats just one incident; this happens all over in urban communities. What do you mean by You people? You'll never understand; hopefully one day you will.
Just know white on white crime exist also, just cause it's not portrayed in the media doesn't mean that its not happening. Stop comparing everything to Ferguson. we are not all from Ferguson. The fact remains that this does happen in urban communities all the time.
When I said "bad words" before is about you wrote: "You seem to be suffering from a severe case of…". (May be I misunderstood.)
Now.
You say "Choosing to ignore what has already occurred in reality is your choice". I am not ignoring anything, I just comment the video on THIS post.
I asked to Jessika show me some link of a similar case you are talking about.
For example, if I see THIS video and I comment something like "if where elephants they burn it in flames", then I am doing an imagination exercise, not talking about the video on THIS post.
The man in the video of THIS post has no lethal weapon and the cops has no reason to use their guns, so they don't use guns.
Kevin Jackson When I say change, I'm speaking about the cases such as Tennessee vs. Garner, where the matter was taken to court and settled. The law was changed based on this decision and it benefited everyone. I choose not to look at this or anything as a white vs. black thing because there is no evidence or reason to. I live in a culture drenched in diversity and I still see choices as the biggest indication of fate. If you really believe that law makers were acting in their own interests and still have slavery in the back of their minds, well then I don't know how to explain this to you.
A lot of vitriol in the comments here which I am very disheartened to see. I understand that people are very emotional about these situations. To be fair to those in the black community, there is a valid argument for their point of a racial divide in treatment of people by police. I believe there was a social experiment done by the media that shows our society's typical reaction (not just police): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ge7i60GuNRg
I have provided a link to the video of the experiment for reference. To be honest I never saw this kind of thing, but that's the point isn't it? I'm a white man. I wouldn't normally notice these kinds of things unless maybe I was actively trying to look for it because they don't happen to me.
So there is outrage because of (what I feel) are two very important factors: 1) You have great mistrust and lack of faith in our police and government right now. 2) You have racial tensions that have been fermenting in the Ferguson area for a great many years. The fuel was always there. Michael Brown was just the match to start the fire.
Now, in one report I read discussing the autopsy of Michael Brown it seems that wounds on the body are in line with the story given by the officer. The evidence that we have at the scene of the crime (not witness testimony) supported his claim to self-defense and that Michael Brown went for his gun while in the car.
Now normally that should end all conversations right? Not really in this case, because like any of our problems facing our nation right now there are other factors in play. Let's go back to my earlier point: We have lost faith in our police as a whole. There are too many stories coming out of police brutality and corruption (a lot of it against minorities, but not entirely) to where when the average person hears a story that is negative about the police they immediately believe it 100% to be true.
Why is that? Is it the depiction of the media that's driving that? Or is it from people's personal experiences with police?
I think maybe a little of both. There are some commenters who have pointed out that it is unfair to compare this incident to Michael Brown. Their argument has a valid point. Not every police officer is a bad apple and we shouldn't color everyone with the same brush. Not all of my experiences with police have been negative. However, I am not a black man (or woman, not leaving the ladies out of this 😉 ) interacting with the police. I know it can be radically different (especially depending on what area of the country you live in.)
I've sort of gone on something of a tangent here so I am going to wrap it up with my two main beliefs. I'd like to hear some other perspectives on it to try and help me understand if possible.
1) Whether or not Michael Brown actually assaulted the officer was not important in this situation in Ferguson. It was only the match that lit the fuel that was already there. Whether or not Michael Brown was actually guilty or not this situation still would have blown up because of a previous history of racial tension.
2) The flames were fanned by the police's overly militaristic response to the situation. You can find videos of them firing tear gas and rubber bullets into crowds of peaceful protesters (and media attempting to cover the story), confiscating video cameras for recording the story (illegal), and also their focus upon simply putting down protesters instead of focusing upon stopping looting and rioting. The police definitely took a very military mindset with this situation. They thought of the citizenry as the enemy right off the bat. That leads into another problem with police militarization. When you get fancy toys you want to use them, right? That is another topic however, a problem that just contributes to this one.
3) You have outside groups who were not even natives of Ferguson coming in and instigating the situation. They were opportunists, looking to conduct looting under the cover of the civil unrest in Ferguson.
I've been following Ferguson pretty closely. The main reason (I will freely admit) is because I have a problem with police militarization and the direction it is taking our country. I got more interested in it because of the problem itself and how complex it is.
This little breakdown I offer up to try and open up a beginning to dialogue between people. There are too many (on both side of the argument) who are too emotional and want to say one of two things:
1) Michael Brown was a "thug" and a hoodlum so of course he did what the officer said he did and deserved to get shot.
2) It's because he was black that he got shot.
I feel like that kills the conversation and when the conversation dies nobody wins. We just continue spitting the same things at each other. So I hope I haven't offended. I've tried to put in some facts that I saw in the reporting that don't often get talked about and be as unbiased as I can be.
Additionally, I will put in a small plug here: Every officer should wear a body camera in this country. 1) It protects the citizenry from corrupt police by recording their actions. 2) It protects the police from false reporting and has been known to deescalate situations. I support this and I encourage people to write their congressman and ask for this measure to be adopted.
This has been a much longer piece that I thought it would be. Thank you for reading if you have.
Why was the O.J. Simpson trial such a big deal? I mean like, whites kill whites all the time, right? Why is it a big deal when a black person kills white people? <——– (If I reasoned the way that stupid, racist scumbags do.)
You also need to take into account the location. There are some cities that have NEVER had a police shooting and some that are more likely for it to happen based on training, experience, and crime amount and severity levels. Based on the clean cut looking soda joint and the young white employees, this may have been in a suburban area that is not apt to be a hotbed of hard crime and therefore the officers may not be prepared or trained in use of deadly force lightly. I am only supposing and trying to look at actual events on tape here. I cannot listen to race baiters, I will only, and always, look at the reality of EACH circumstance before drawing a conclusion (as everyone should)! If I were the arresting officer, I would have drawn more than a taser on this fellow once he was outside and out of range of the kids working at the restaurant.
Kiyana Munroe Ferguson is what this is all about, duh! Trust me, I know that it happens everywhere: whites, blacks, latinos, you name it, they have all been shot by the police while attempting to cause harm. It even happens to people that aren't doing anything wrong. As for the other dumb question you posed, I ask you to use context clues to answer it yourself. Thanks for helping me me express my point: I merely used a questionable wording and I am assumed to be generalizing blacks. WHAT DO I NOT UNDERSTAND?
You people are retarded. The police should have not used any restraint on this man as he clearly needed to be taken down by whatever means necessary before he caused harm to one of the officers or someone else. Now all of y'all crying about Micheal Brown and white police on black injustice, please. Keep that racist crap to yourselves.
At least he had more consideration then the cops did.. he took his shit outside….
Cops are punks… with or with out weapons.. they the kinda of bullies I used to beat up in school…
Any man two takes the cops on… is a good man in my books…. if cops were corrupt murdering cowards my opinion would differ….
That is a guy I'd ask for my first ever autograph from.
The adjective "white" is purposely added to stir up comments on the article and pick up web traffic. I work in web media. This is web media 101. Who would have clicked the link if it just said "man"?
Love how my other posts with facts released by the grand jury got deleted. Shows you just how much the media wants to swing this story in the way of racist propaganda.

Actually… if you follow the Anonymous reports investigating KKK links to the Ferguson Police, you will find that one Ferguson Police officer is named…. Zimmerman. Ooopsy. And if you look into history, you will see that the KKK drew many of its members from … police forces. Ooopsy again.
Patrick you obviously don't understand what the Judicial System is there for. It's supposed to be Fair and Even. So yeah if Police Murdered White Citizens at the same Rate they murdered Black Citizens. At least we as citizens could not question their bias. But that will never happen. There would truly be Anarchy if White Young Men were being slaughtered in the streets.
FBI Arrests, by Race, 2013.

• Of all adults arrested in 2013, 69.6 percent were white, 27.6 percent were black, and 2.9 percent were of other races.
• White individuals were arrested more often for violent crimes than individuals of any other race and accounted for 58.4 percent of those arrests.
• Of adults arrested for murder, 52.1 percent were black, and 45.5 percent were white.
• Black juveniles comprised 53.3 percent of all juveniles arrested for violent crimes. White juveniles accounted for 59.7 percent of all juveniles arrested for property crimes.
• Of juveniles arrested for drug abuse violations, 73.0 percent were white.

@antoniojose Once again, to suggest that everyone is equal and all is fair proves you have no concept of the reality of institutional racism that is proven in EVERY aspect of life in this country from education, judicial, to wealth disparity, etc..I'm amazed at the bubble people allow themselves to live in. No empathy for a human being… Shot with his hands in the air when there's school killers, movie theater killers who are captured alive! You think this is "equal"? Wake up Jose your pale skin won't save you when they come. Trust.
Kiyana Munroe And guess who would have been looting and burning down buildings to show how tough and manly they are. Use your head and put the blame where it belohgs.
Austin Karls As I said before fundamental changes have been made in laws such as Tennessee vs Garner, however, if you carefully read the law, you will see that there are several "loop holes" to where prosecution of the officer can be avoided. Such the case of Michael Brown. You may choose to not look at things as black or white, but until all things are treated equal across the board, you can't overlook the history on which things in this country have been judged.

Kitty Plourde Sooo…. you're saying you want us to exercise pre-judgement before anything happens? I'm confused. Is that what you're asking for? That we take a wild guess as to "who" would do the "looting and burning down" because you, for one, already know? … go back to community college… you sound ignorant.
Kiyana Munroe Thats exactly what I am saying. You don't know the cops personally so you can't predetermine that if it were a black person they would of killed him right there. This kind of thinking just perpetuates more prejudice
Rahk Numbas Evans Hi.
Are you judging my words by my skin color? The skin color is enough for you?
Does not matter to me the skin color for stablish any relationship with people.
I don't live in a bubble, like you say, I just see women and men, no blacks or whites like I think you do.
I live in a world where there are just people. Different countries, languages, skin colors and ideologies, this is richness of the human. All are people, so I see everybody equally.
Do you?
Cesar Gomez Excuse me? Isn't all of this about the lingering racism and how judging someone can have extremely negative effects? It seems to me that you are only perpetuating the problem. I said nothing about knowing it all. It was my hope to provide my two cents because it doesn't seem people know about the use of force rules. The only two cents you have given is nonsense.
You're all a bunch of ignorant dogs. This is a staged production. Anything to give justification to hate whites. News flash!!! Slavery ended! You won! You get everything handed to you because of the color of your skin and still some of you want to act like animals. I've never owned a slave. I've never known anyone who has. There's just as much opportunity for blacks and Latinos as there is for anyone else in this country. The only slavery that exists today is the bondage of your own mindset and self image. The black male has been portrayed as something terrible to fear for the past 30 years in movies and especially music. 90% of the time these are products of black folks. You created this monster and now you don't like the ramifications that it brings. Be responsible to yourselves and your generations to follow. As the father of a bi-racial son, I absolutely forbid any kind of that music, tv or movies. Why? Because I feel it's my responsibility to create and cultivate his self image as a positive contributor to society and lead a peaceful, happy and long life. Peace to you all. You're in my prayers.
I guess they didn't feel to threatened since they never pulled their "real guns" even after the taser didn't work. That's the difference between justice for whites and justice for blacks. We just want justice for ALL to be the same, and that is why we RIOT because justice is not the same for our young black men! Maybe the real question is why are whites officers so afraid of aggressive black men and not aggressive white men!
Forget the guys race for a moment if you will. The saddest part is that people quickly turn into media and not citizens. We watch fights and crimes like their entertainment instead of possibly calling 911 to perhaps help the out of shape officers. Now back to race for a moment, yup it would have been a dead black man no doubt.
All these ignorant comments explain the rioting mentality in Ferguson. Here's a challenge: make a public records request of your local police agencies and ask for:
Total number of citations written in the past 12 months
Total number of citations by race
Total number of arrests for previous 12 months
Total arrests broken down by race
Demographics for your area based on the last census. You might be surprised at the results based on the ratio basis
This comment section is the most ignorant collection of people I've ever seen. "If he was black, he'd be dead" how can you prove that? Maybe these officers just don't resort to shooting people. Not all officers pull the trigger first and ask questions later. Thousands of times a day people that are black, white, Hispanic, Asian or any other race are arrested without being shot. Get the fuck over yourselves and your race cards.
Everyone in this message board is implying that shooting a gun to kill is the appropriate response. I agree what happened with Brown wasn't justified, and I do agree that white privilege exists. But condoning the liberal use of deadly force should never be condoned, TO ANYONE.
Ok my question? if he was black would the tasers still be out? what's the difference here than mike brown. Is this an example of good police work, or standard police work, or bad all around. Mike brown would be alive today if back up was waited for, if scared he may reach u and kill u Officer Darren Wilson why pursue with deadly force and if u are scared for your life why pursue I'm sure mike was running scared with no gun and bullets coming his way after whatever took place so when u reach him what did u expect him to do or more importantly what did u expect to do if already over powered you did it. karma america please speak up and out be heard TODAY.
Its a shame that most police only know how to shoot and to call for back-up. Other than that, if the person is unwilling to be arrested and they don't want to shoot to kill, they will have a hard time controlling the person.
Maybe, just maybe, this has nothing to do with race and this guy didn't get shot because these cops are decent and not trigger happy. Good for them. My unarmed Caucasian friend was shot in the back by police in San Antonio last year. Cops are killing unarmed citizens from all backgrounds, races, and creeds. The more we make it a racial issue, the more we divide ourselves, which is ruining any chance we have as PEOPLE to stop police brutality.
Now, this is how police officers are supposed to handle a situation with someone who is resisting an arrest. They used their tazors instead of their guns because that is proper police procedure. That idiot Officer Wilson in Missouri had no clue on what to do. This is hilarious though, that white guy was absolutely crazy, he was tazed 3 times and it didn't even faze him at all. These officers are little girls and couldn't even fight this guy off, that is pathetic what a sorry example these two particular officers are. Good for this guy, I love it…..
Recording a white guy fighting off the police? You have an amusing candid camera-style video to show for it. Making a video of a black guy fighting off the police? You have a snuff film.
Why did't they shot him? He assaulted them, he charged them!! Did't the officers fear for their life, specially after NOT going down with all those teases??
Reading all these posts just goes to show how many ignorant people are on BOTH sides. yes one incident on video means that if he was black he would be killed. get a damn clue people. different departments train cops differently. also each individual uses their own judgement. Did the cop in Ferguson use all his tools to the best ability like these cops did probably not. Did both of these criminals leave themselves open to bodily injury or death yes. using blanket statements are just as ignorant as some white guy sitting on their couch looking at the news and saying damn we should send all those niggers back where we got them from. Yes you are all as ignorant as that person. Plus in this video you don't know if these cops have dealt with this guy before and know his history. so stop playing lawyers and fortune tellers and stop with being racist and take responsibility for your own actions and work towards improving the cities you live in instead of just trying to point fingers at one another.
Police work isn't without its hazards. That man shouldn't have been shot dead. Nobody should be shot dead in this kind of situation. He was unarmed. The penalty for whacking two pussy-like cops with your bare hands shouldn't be the death on the spot. I just wish Michael Brown was also lucky enough to just have gotten tasered like this. The danger to a police officer out on duty should not be zero.
I'm not one to usually bring up Race, but to some all they see is a man being tasered with minimal effect on him. Something to crack and be amazed about. To me this is sad: That the officers would go though every possible option to arrest this man without using deadly force(last resort-didn't even seem like an option)). Even when 3 tasers didn't work, and the man began attacking the officers and clearly resisting, Going for a gun was never an option. Then you watch videos of black men being arrested, and the officers will use any excuse to shoot. If you have both hands cuffed they still find a way to use deadly force. Another video showed an officer telling a man to get his drivers license and the man reached in his car and the officer sprayed bullets like he was fighting in Iraq. Another video an officer is seen bashing a black women's face in. Hate Racism, Anti-Semitism- these things are shameful. It's time for Love and Justice.
This is all I'm saying. The Mike Brown situation could have been handled like this. The officer didn't have a tazed, but he had pepper spray which he could have used. If that man in this video was black, he would have been shot. He assaulted a police officer, the same thing Mike Brown allegedly did. For all of those ppl talking about "this isn't about race" this video CLEARLY shows that it is. That man should have been shot!!!
Oh would you look at that.
Assult on an officer and resisting arrest. Only this time it was caught on tape. This violent ANIMAL needs to be locked away. But you know… *Sips tea*
The reason I think it went down like that is because it is probably in a tiny little town where nothing ever happens aside from a cat in the tree and an occasional local drunk. Those cops were total goofs… they would never make it in the city.
It's really scary to read these comments and see how many uneducated, practically illiterate, ignorant white people there are in this country. You guys want to run the show but can't be bothered to pick up a book and See Spot Jump.
What is white? Just because the color of my skin I get called everything from cracker to klans folks. When the last time I looked at a news paper it's 2014 not the 1800's. Too all the people who are darker to me please. Stop being racist your words are offensive.
maybe the reason deadly force wasn't used is unlike iin most cases with with blacks this white guy didn't go after the cops gun, and or he didn't have a gun on him.
You people are stupid making this a racial thing. And it's only u black fuckers saying oh if he was black or he's white is why nothing happened. Yall are ghetto trash!
OK I can not seen the video in my web browser but without even seening it I can tell you 2 major differences in the two cases that play a large role in the turn out. Unlike the Brown case this appears to be 2 officers on one. Circumstances change drasticly when you are out numberd. The Brown case it was a single officer addressing two larger males. Then he was assaulted inside the vehicle. He would have felt extremely unsecure and on edge before even exiting the vehicle. We know how the rest played out.
Damn he was beating the cops ass and he didn't get shot well damn he look way stronger than Mike Brown but I guess the police didn't fear for they lives I guess cause the man was white lol but damn I'm pretty sure Mike brown couldn't take two tasers smdh
Instead of focusing on race can we please focus on the fact that there was no threat to the officers lives. He didn't have a weapon nor did he try to reach for one. Since the officers lives weren't in danger they weren't authorized to use deadly force. simple as that.
This is my first and last posting on this story, until the greater American family take their heads out of the sand ask themselves how would I like to be treated by our justice system no matter what color I am, things like the Michael Brown shooting will continue to happen. Now I am happy that these cops did not shoot the man, I really am. I am how ever under no illusions how this would have turned out had this been a black guy, that did not go down after being tazed and white Americans must take their heads out of the sand and admit this sad fact. For far to long, black males have been seen as violent, drug dealers and it does not matter what job you do, or where you live. White people must asked themselves themselves a few questions, " do I like being lumped in with all racist" two, would I like to be seen as violent criminals every day of my life, would I want my children to be seen like this", if you answer those questions as no, then you must insist on equal justice for all, you must because until you do, just as you refuse to see blacks as individuals and not as group then there will be no trust. One case comes to mind as I am making this statement, that is teh Trevyon Martin story. How many of your children where Hoodies, and how many of them walk around their neighborhoods with no particular place to go, how would you feel if a man was following them? That is all.
@Norman Cooper as the parents of a biracial son your post concerns me. 1 because you thought it was appropriate to call people dogs and then followed that statement up with comments that demean the black experience, statements that deny the racial disparities that have existence since black people were brought to this country and then ending it all with you are praying for us. Sir, my advice to you would be to first ask God the wisdom to address people in ways that involve you calling them names, I would then ask you to ask God for the ability to understand and have compassion for a group of people who were treated inhumanely supply because they came out a different skin color, I would ask you to pray for wisdom and understanding to know that maybe you are wrong, you are not black and have no idea what it is like to be black, so maybe you should not be spouting out stipulations about an experience that you no nothing about? To say that the violent treatment that was endured by black, to say that having your wife raped in front you, your children snatched and sold in front of you, your husband and father sold like a piece of furniture and then used as a baby making machine to line your own pockets with the sell of more of their children has no residual effects on blacks today is ignorant. You are the product of generations of people who came before you as are we. Positive dialogue begins with ones ability to empathize with and have compassion for another person's experience, if you can take the time to place yourself in the shows of a other, you should not be sputtering off comments. Now, I took the time to explain this to you because I believe that an individual who repeatedly makes comments about people has a relationship with God and if he has a relationship with God, God is able to give you wisdom and God's way is a way of love and compassion.
officers are afraid to use force now. Stop the racism. it has nothing to do with it. Also it's two ooficer and one subject hard to justify deadly force.
The comments surrounded sayng "He was not black so he didn't get shot are NOT Ignorant!" Put your race in our skin in times of unjustice then speak! I have a son and if what happened to Mike Brown happens to my family! HOLLYWOOD would be doing a sequel for "A Time To Kill". Hypothetically Speaking!
Even more astonishing is that all the employees think about recording everything but no one thinks about locking the door first and to make sure everyone is safe.
Why wasn't he shot by police?
Gee, I wonder why…
because he isn't a violent black (sarcasm)
Why am I NOT SURPRISED that a white man can fight kick punch, the RUN OFF, without a shot being fired. The disparity of justice in America defies belief!
If it was a black man he will been shot to death
Mike Brown "beat up a police officer" and he deserved to die.
This guy beat up two officers ON VIDEO, but he deserves to live?
Either way, I must learn what will become of the KKKop Krusher here.
The law differ from state to state. Some state he would have been a dead man.
He should be dead with a 77 bullets in his head and torso. Oh, wait. They're all white.
Is that what you really think? Or are you just being politically correct ?
cause nothing better then black on black violence
The law differs from state to state?…so why is it the same in all states when it comes to blacks?
Are you telling me that each state makes up its own criteria for the use of deadly force?
Wayne Jessop
Yeah because no one in the History of NEVER talked about black on black violence…Get a brain….
But hey why we're on the subject let's talk about that white on white violence if you truly want to go there…
If that was a black guy for sure they probably shoot him while trying to cuff him, anyone notice how gentle they were with him and funny they brought out tasers and not guns fearing for their lives, yet a 8 year old black boy is killed without wincing…
This happens more often than you know!
The main reason most Klanspeople were calling the Mike Brown killing "justified"was just seen before their eyes and yet you hear nothing from them in the comment section here.
Rahk Numbas Evans Not violent REALLY!
THUMBS UP A 7 BILLION TIMES
THUMBS UP A 7 BILLION TIMES
I noticed this man didn't get shoot….
I wouldn't even respond to his ignorance Jessica Perkins….he surfs Atlanta Blackstar just to have his 2 minutes of fame they always tough behind the monitor
He would have been shot graveyard dead with impunity..
Wayne Jessop people tend to commit crimes against people in their own areas… so the next time a black man murders some white child… I'm going to bring up white on white crime and tell you to stfu
Did I miss the "astonishing" part?
so fake
Rahk Numbas Evans GOT YA!
Rahk Numbas Evans
He wasn't shot, as police often do when they claim that they fear for their life and the life of the community when attacked by a black person. You missing the "astonishing" part speaks volumes.
Wayne Jessop blacks go to jail for black on black violence. whites do NOT when it's white on black violence.
Kiturah Montgomery
It's a false equivalency to deflect from the issue at hand. Fox garbage News pander this nonsense and people like him gobble it up as fact without even doing some research…
Because if they did they would have known that Obama tried to addressed the issue of black on black crime (My Brother's Keeper Initiative) but of course he was playing the race card according to Fox News and other right wing authoritative nut spaces.
Oh damn.. I wonder why this man HASN'T BEEN KILLED..
I noticed this man has no weapon.
I'm sure if he is armed (and try to use it), they shoot him.
Because he just fight with his hands and no lethal weapon?
http://www.alternet.org/civil-liberties/watch-what-happens-when-police-confront-white-open-carry-gun-nut
Because he has no lethal weapon, I think.
He just fight with his hands. No guns, no shoots.
Yep if he was b,ack this would not have happened .he'd be dead
Jessika R. Pastora Lopez : "if this guy had been black he would of been shot. Hell he would of been shot if he'd been spanish".
Sorry, Jessika, I do not comment about hypothetic situations. I just comment about the video on this post. Other thing can be just imagination.
The cops in the USA are mostly pussies. No wonder America is losing it's influence.
That man would have been dead.
They should've shot him.

No, our system is not perfect but demonizing police and making this a race issue is extremely counterproductive
i approve of this behaviour if for not other reason than to expose our hypocrisy
HAHAHAHAHA i'll have to keep from crying. this won't convince you either, i'm sure. http://www.cnn.com/2014/08/01/justice/new-york-choke-hold-death/

84% of crime against whites are committed by whites

Where is Darren "murderous" Wilson when you really need him? Oh wait! He only likes to kill the Black ones… fuckers!
its true, just the other day a kid was shot cause he had a BB gun on a playground

Not all are bad.
dam why didnt they shoot huh weird huh
If he were a black man, he would have 10-15 bullets in him! That's why when cops get hurt it's usually by a white assailant.
If he were a black man, he would have 10-15 bullets in him! That's why when cops get hurt it's usually by a white assailant.
So Michael Brown should have been tased since he was unarmed too?
Why is everything compared to Ferguson? Thats just one incident; this happens all over in urban communities. What do you mean by You people? You'll never understand; hopefully one day you will.
Just know white on white crime exist also, just cause it's not portrayed in the media doesn't mean that its not happening. Stop comparing everything to Ferguson. we are not all from Ferguson. The fact remains that this does happen in urban communities all the time.
Vida Pérez Velázquez Have a good day you too.
Ian Davis I don't know the Mr. Brown's case you are talking about. Sorry.
I just comment the John Davis' words about the video on this post.
I would love to see those facts
I would love to see those facts
I would love to see those facts

He also look 6ft tall. He is still alive.
Dave Mills, most of the time, thousands of times a year, blacks get tazed
You're white; what else should we expect from your type…. sometimes, no — most times keep your fat mouth shut or else.
He did get shot twice. They happen to haven tasters. He's lucky he didn't have a heart attack
Cheers to him.
The adjective "white" is purposely added to stir up comments on the article and pick up web traffic. I work in web media. This is web media 101. Who would have clicked the link if it just said "man"?
If he were black he would have got shot smh
Love how my other posts with facts released by the grand jury got deleted. Shows you just how much the media wants to swing this story in the way of racist propaganda.

Actually… if you follow the Anonymous reports investigating KKK links to the Ferguson Police, you will find that one Ferguson Police officer is named…. Zimmerman. Ooopsy. And if you look into history, you will see that the KKK drew many of its members from … police forces. Ooopsy again.
White on White a Viloence is at the same rate as Black on Black Violence. So what is your point?
Patrick you obviously don't understand what the Judicial System is there for. It's supposed to be Fair and Even. So yeah if Police Murdered White Citizens at the same Rate they murdered Black Citizens. At least we as citizens could not question their bias. But that will never happen. There would truly be Anarchy if White Young Men were being slaughtered in the streets.
Hmm a lil bit of white in white crime.
Hmm a lil bit of white in white crime.
Patrick, have a seat. You're not the one at risk

Trust.
Solomon Terra please pardon me its 12 year old killed in Cleveland.

Typical pseudo intellectual know-it-all frat boy douchebag.
Do you?
My family has been here since 1609. We are the original people who built this civilization. Of course I have and should have a privilege.
If he was an African American they would not have hesitated to shoot him dead in self defense.
hands up dont shoot
You're welcome.
Be Conscious! Don't Forget what is happening now!
And he is still alive! Unbelievable!
Thus the comment section…SMH.
If that were a black man, they wouldn't have bothered tazing him, they would have shot him dead.
@Wayne white on white violence is pretty bad too. Gtfoh
Liking the number based analysis. Now compare those numbers to the incarceration rates.
I am glad that these offers did not use deadly force or feel as though they were in mortal danger dealing with this unarmed man.
Good thing he wasn't resisting arrest or assaulting police officers…
If he was black they would have killed him!
OMG I bet if the police were green and the meth addict was orange they would have shot him.
Complexion for the protection for the collection. Nuff said.
Why they playing with man. Im not for violence but i think this is the time to shoot; not to kill but to stop since the tazer wasnt doing it for them.
Notice that he is just a rowdy drunk.. Notice the distinct lack of him going for their guns, which is why he didn't get shot…
Really I did not see him try to take their weapons oh maybe I missed something, and there were two officers unless I missed something again.
This is what fuse anger–even though he ran and came back he still wasn't shot and killed and he's OLD–not a teenager
Oh would you look at that.
Assult on an officer and resisting arrest. Only this time it was caught on tape. This violent ANIMAL needs to be locked away. But you know… *Sips tea*
I may be wrong but that looked staged
If he was black, he would of been shot down
The reason I think it went down like that is because it is probably in a tiny little town where nothing ever happens aside from a cat in the tree and an occasional local drunk.
Is this the US?
Different cops, different situation handling; inconclusive.
You people are stupid making this a racial thing. And it's only u black fuckers saying oh if he was black or he's white is why nothing happened. Yall are ghetto trash!
Just ashamed how different black men are treated vs. white men.
And the cops didn't shoot him in the head or multiple times like they did young Timar.
Where are his 6 warning shots ? Exactly !
To be fair he also didn't reach for the cops gun like mike brown did. Let's keep it real.
Poor poor Samuel redmond
Rip 2 us
officers are afraid to use force now.
He never reached for a firearm..ppl yall know what you can and can't do with police
If that was me I would of been shot
well even if they shot and killed him they would have not been indicted for the same reason Wilson was not.
