As long as African people act surprised when things like this happen, we will remain stagnant. We protest a system ran by people who innately despise us and without understanding our need to saturate necessary posts in society, we will always remain a stagnant dependent people. I had a conversation with a young energy filled so-called revolutionary, who was full of dangerous emotions and he said he was ready for war with this "devil." My reply was, "young brother after you run out of your initial ammunition that you may have on hand, where will you get more supplies?" Where will you buy heavier weaponry? He had puzzled look needless to say. African family the one thing that I found profound about this video is not the reaction from the foe, but the fact that we are still amazed that our enemy does not feel obligated to help you protect yourself and that we still go to the foe for our necessities. At some point the Negro in America is going to have to accept the fact that to the Euro you are still the negro in America. You negate this by investing in pertinent African economical infrastructure. Not the latest sneakers or carrying bag, or skinny jeans or your depreciating European automobile. Agriculture, security, culture, African education, international trade relations with African countries, etc. Forgive me for speaking candidly, but, we look really foolish asking a system that we are underrepresented in, excluded from and stereotypically persuaded to distance ourselves from, for solutions that we already know will not be given. We either begin to do for self as an African collective or continue to reap what we sow. JusT the reality, nothing complex about it, what is complex is the level of ignorance that African people must fight through in order to realize the matrix that they live in. Teach children culture, economics, math, and science, technology, and engineering, before you let them learn lyrics by Young thug, Beyoncé, Nikki Manaj, and any other agent that perpetuates stagnation and European superiority over your African mind. this is the exact reason why you shouldn't wait until you need a gun to purchase one. She says that she needs this firearm to protect herself during the riots that are projected to occur, but how in the world is she going to become proficient with using a firearm in two days? Without that second video, I do not see any evidence of racist actions, just as the Grand Jury didn't see any evidence of criminal actions on behalf of Darren Wilson.
The death of Michael Brown can only be described as a senseless tragedy. The thing is,the headline of this article is very misleading. The gun shop owner is clearly not selling her a gun because he can't. You don't know what you're talking about. That guy wasn't a cop, he was a store owner. And as a result of him owning the store, he can lawfully refuse service to anyone he chooses for any reason he chooses. How did he violate her civil rights? How did he violate her 2A rights? He didn't tell her she couldn't own a gun, he didn't even tell her he wouldn't sell her a gun. He only told her he wasn't selling any guns because they were removed from the store due to the riots and she could either have a full refund or wait until the riots were over.

George Zimmerman wasn't convicted because ALL of the evidence proved that Treyvon Martin assaulted Zimmerman and was beating the crap out of him, forcing Zimmerman to use deadly force to defend himself. Yea, I watched the trial. Apparently you and millions of others didn't. And apparently all the evidence in this case proves Brown was also the aggressor. I have news for people like you. I think you are missing the point and it may be because of the SENSATIONAL title of the article. The guy to whom she is speaking to is very civil, kind in his explanation, and (from what you can hear) telling her exactly what he knows. I don't know if anyone told you personally that they thought the store clerk was being racist, but most people can see (hear) that he is not racist. You're building an argument on things that do not compare when you compare it to the Grand Jury's verdict. The point of this is the Ferguson police put out this ordinance before the verdict in preparation for riots. This eliminates the possibility of a person being able to own a gun to personally PROTECT themselves during a predicted PROTEST/RIOT. Not only does it hurt the individual who is seeking a means of protection, but also it hurts the businesses and pawn shops who have to cut deals and do extra discounts! Whether you "side" with Darren Wilson and the Ferguson county police on the issue of the shooting of Mike Brown or the community of people who thought the shooting was wrong you have to see the INJUSTICE in this. Separate yourself from your own convenience and think more empathetically. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ARGUE FOR AND ARGUE AGAINST!
Gregory Ellzey I see where both of you are coming from. He's talking about the title of the video. The video is entitled to show discrimination. His argument is that you should show both sides to prove the case. That's all I don't think he's being racist. Before you think I'm siding with anyone, I don't agree with the outcome of the case. AND don't get me wrong, I understand that this was a precaution to prevent people from buying a gun and then using it against the police or other people during protest and riots in an unlawful manner. BUT the likelihood of someone buying a gun for their own honest personal protection, the protection of their property, and the protection of their loved ones DURING a riot is the SAME.

I understand perfectly well what he is trying to say about doing another video where a caucasian tries to buy a gun, but to me that still wouldn't EQUAL the same thing. She specifically said this was a FERGUSON city wide ban from selling guns. This limits peoples Second Amendment Rights in a time when their right should be very practice-able. You just compared the cops being able to projecting a riot occurrence with her personally being able to predict a riot occurrence. She would have had to predict riots months in advance, better than the police, and then train in using her firearm all up until the Grand Jury Verdict!!! I see your point in saying "don't wait until you need it", but that does not prove that the actions of the Ferguson Police is not a limitation of her Second Amendment Right. This is against anyone who wants to own a gun during a "projected" NEAR FUTURE, violent "occurrence". This negates the possibility of anyone else like her, who may have wanted to be able to honestly and legally protect themselves, their families and their property, with a firearm, during a riot. It only allows the police, people who already own guns legally, and people who own guns illegally to be able to have a fire arm during a riot. Blatant Injustice!

Not all Ferguson law enforcement is bad, and that warning they put out in preparation for more riots is exactly what they should have done. If you're going to protest the cops using force for everything, you can't protest when they don't. They had a choice. Send out the warnings, or place military-style police and riot troops all around the city. Which would you rather?

It is the government that creates laws etc., but in this case the police can not ESCAPE blame. They know very well what they are doing! It would help save the lives of police if they are predicting people buying or stealing guns then using them against the police in riots. I just listened to the video again and there was nothing that I heard mentioned about nobody being able to buy a gun. What happened here, in this video, at this store, was all of the firearms were taken out of the store and loaded into a trailer, to be taken off-site. The reason for this action was they were supposedly told rioters and looters would be targeting firearms stores and pawn shops. The Title of this story implies the woman was unable to get a firearm due to the fact she was Black. I compared it to the Grand Jury Verdict because in this particular video, I heard no evidence of any racial discrimination, just as the Grand Jury heard or saw no evidence warranting criminal charges being brought against Darren Wilson. The incident of the shooting in Ferguson is it's own incident and has absolutely nothing to do with any other shooting. I think that's where a lot of people are missing the point. The Grand Jury in THIS case and THIS incident, found no evidence to suggest Darren Wilson did anything that warranted criminal charges against him. Let us remember Darren Wilson has rights as well as a Citizen of the United States. If there was evidence that showed Darren Wilson shot and killed Michael Brown because he felt like shooting someone that day, I would be the first person in line calling for Criminal Charges to be brought against him. I would also make my decision on whether or not to call for Criminal Charges against someone based on the law and based on the fact one human being killed another human being in cold blood. Not because the shooter was White and the victim was Black.

I think we're basically saying the same thing here. I wouldn't expect anyone to be able to predict when and where they would need a firearm to protect themselves and therefore should be proactive in arming themselves and training to use a firearm safely and correctly so when the time comes they will be prepared. I also believe that her rights are being trampled and the "locals" (we know what that means don't we?) are being discriminated against in regards to firearm sales BUT i believe that this woman and others like her are wrong for waiting until the crap hits the fan to buy an umbrella.
For clarification. I don't live in Ferguson MO, but she said at the end of this video that this is an ordinance being enforced throughout the city. She also said that she works with law enforcement so there is her credibility and understanding. So that means the entire community black or white cannot buy a gun at this time, until further notice.

The lunacy continues. Both this woman, and you, are promoting an atmosphere of racial tension. This guy clearly says at the beginning of the video that "All of the guns are packed into the semi already", and that they are also "packing up all of the pawned stuff too, to protect their customers property". This gun store/pawn shop is going through the expense of moving the entire contents of the store because of the looting that went on before. They aren't refusing to sell a gun to a black woman. In fact he told her he would go back and try to locate her gun. Notice that she never says if she ended up getting her gun or not. He was very polite and very straightforward in what was going on. If you want to do something for the "negro" in America, tell them to stop trashing innocent peoples businesses when something happens that they don't like. Tell them to be AMERICANS, not AFRICANS.

The lunacy continues. Both this woman, and you, are promoting an atmosphere of racial tension. This guy clearly says at the beginning of the video that "All of the guns are packed into the semi already", and that they are also "packing up all of the pawned stuff too, to protect their customers property". This gun store/pawn shop is going through the expense of moving the entire contents of the store because of the looting that went on before. They aren't refusing to sell a gun to a black woman. In fact he told her he would go back and try to locate her gun. Notice that she never says if she ended up getting her gun or not. He was very polite and very straightforward in what was going on. If you want to do something for the "negro" in America, tell them to stop trashing innocent peoples businesses when something happens that they don't like. Tell them to be AMERICANS, not AFRICANS.

We can't know all the details from this video, but it's obvious that he would have wanted to give her the gun, that she paid for, when she wanted it. It is clear that he offered her a refund (the store losing money for the ordinance the cops put out, against their will) or he offered her and everyone else a discount (the store losing money for the ordinance the cops made against their will). This has nothing to do with the stores inventory, their hours of operation, cool off period. I understand that in this case the law would help protect him and anyone owning a store that sells guns, if the store is broken into, but that's still besides my point. All of that stuff has nothing to do with this situation. There's nothing in this video that would lead me to believe he did not want to give her, her gun at that moment. It's not want it's the law, right now. He could not give it to her because of the Ferguson police and their ad hoc laws for a predicted civil disturbance. This snubs her right to protect herself (while working with law enforcement) and anyone else who wanted to be able to protect themselves over the next few days…weeks…until further notice. People use titles like the one above to get us to watch their vido or read their post. It's a marketing technique. When I see titles like this I pass them by.I didn't watch the video for that very reason. To some of you that may sound strange but I don't like being manipulated. I'm a Network marketer myself and it's my duty to be honest from the first word I type.
WELL said Priscilla. It's ridiculous how the so called "media" can and does manipulate almost everything. And it's really sad becasue more and more people seem to believe everything they hear or see that's put out by various media outlets. God forbid if anyone were to fact check or get their information by credible sources. But even credibility is a rare thing. It's getting harder and harder to believe ANYTHING unless you are there to witness it from the very beginning and hear the entire story….from both sides of the fence.
