
As expected, sovereignty is undermined under the neocolonialist configuration. Instead of having an indigenous leadership that advances the interest of the state, large and concentrated transnational corporations, transnational banks and international financial agencies dictate domestic and international policy. These policies are usually aimed at benefiting the foreign rulers at the expense of the neocolonized state.
