  1. Kristy Violeta says:

love the list! some people forget that Latinos come in all shades, from pale white to deep ebony. one small correction: celia cruz, la reina de la guaracha, was not "of cuban-american descent", she was 100% cubana and was an exile in the US. I would add to this list la lupe, sheila e., romeo santos, prince royce, don omar, gina torres, christina milian, rosie perez, mariah carey, tyson beckford, among others..

  2. Anna Menace says:

This is ignorant, these people are all black. It is not only American Africans that are black, all these places mentioned are just Spanish speaking Africans.

  3. Bongo Logic says:

Whoever thought of this should be put in jail for trying to deny African people in Spanish speaking countries their rightful identity. This what you all posted is only for those who don't know any better. Nice try.

  4. Eury Salazar says:

How dumb of ur comments! Im dominican and im white skinned with fine hair and green eyes, theyre not all african

  5. Track King Cole says:

You need to learn your history young lady… if it wasnt for the African the indigenous people of the Dominican Republic would of died off. You speak Spanish only because the Spaniards of Spain raped and Pillaged your Ancestors. A DNA test would tell you your background quick. Yall stay trying to deny that African blood in your body #factsonly

  6. Divide and conquer. Pit the Latino/Hispanic Community together as ONE. Separate the Black Islanders, Black Africans and Black/Africans Americans;now OUR numbers are low;which in turn VOTES are low in varies communities, and when the CENSUS are taken those DIVIDED communities aren't going to be awarded their fair share of needed in their communities. Last but not least– there's a STIGMA of being a Black/African American that to many people of color resents being mistaken for. I can only ASSUME it's because the Black/African Americans fought against the INJUSTICES America inflicted upon people of color. like fought for CIVIL RIGHTS, VOTING RIGHTS, WORKERS RIGHTS,AND HUMAN RIGHTS. I'm so PROUD of my Foreparents Bravery and Love of life as a Human Being, versus LIVING ON THEIR KNEES.

  7. Track King Cole The skin game allows Ignorance to flow through the brain of SOULLESS people. Keep them on their toes.

  8. Jorge León says:

I like to think that I am just human. but if somebody have the need to put me a label…i guest I am afro caribeño, more specific, afro purtorriqueño. And what the hell latino means? We don't speak latin….

  9. When you say black Americans fought for you obviously have not studied your history and it s this reason that west Indians separate from black Americans cause yal are just as treacherous as European Americans, but here is a little History update the Black panthers founder and leader was a Trinidadian and to date there are more Trinidadian activist in America than there ever was.

  10. right on bro is that separation crap.

  11. Bongo Bluez says:

Gregory Small Brother regardless of your lack of knowledge I do still love you because you are African first and then you were taken to West Indies. You got some growing to do,

  12. Hey retard, to deny means they aren't recognizing their immediate heritage, just bc the skin is dark doesn't mean they're African and nothing else you fuckin close minded prick. Most of them are African and mixed and no one denies it. The point is they also Hispanic and the post is saying you probably didn't know it. But you're so fuckin stupid that you read and still don't know. Dumbass.

  13. Dana Kilgore says:

Gregory Small The founder of the Black Panthers, Huey P. Newton, was no Trinidadian. He was 100% African American! Get your facts straight. You want to hate on black American, Okay, that is your prerogative! Also a waste of time on your part. Please don't falsify history because you feel this need to belittle black Americans.
