Karrueche Tran Apologizes for Blue Ivy Diss, Beyonce Fans Not Impressed

Talk about a tough break.

Karrueche Tran took to social media to apologize for dissing Blue Ivy,  the toddler daughter of power couple Jay Z and Beyonce, during Tran’s recent appearance on 106 & Park. But die-hard Beyonce fans are remaining relentless and continue to attack the socialite on social media.

Tran has been adamantly trying to find a way to brand herself as something other than singer Chris Brown’s on-again, off-again and back on-again girlfriend over the past few years.

Unfortunately, she has just become the girl who dissed Blue Ivy’s hair on live television.

Tran was a guest host on BET’s 106 & Park on Aug. 25 and was reading from the teleprompter for a segment highlighting the “top six things Blue Ivy thought about at the MTV VMAs.”

“I really did wake up like this because my parents never comb my hair,” Tran said.

The 26-year-old immediately gave a nervous laugh before adding, “Sorry Blue! I love you!”

The quick apology was not enough to keep Beyonce fans from hurling insults at Brown’s lover.

“As a human being w/ a brain, it’s also a bit worrying that @Karrueche would bully 2-year-old Blue Ivy on @BET,” one user tweeted. “You are not a puppet, right?”

Other comments insulted the aspiring model’s love life.

“How Karrueche gonna throw shade at a toddler? You got nice hair and still get cheated on every 3 weeks,” another tweet read.

The online attacks only grew more and more vicious as time passed, and eventually led to one woman launching a petition to have Tran deported although Tran is an American citizen.

After the attacks continued for hours, Tran took to her own social media to try to explain her side of the story.

“Now y’all know I LOVE me some Beyonce and Blue Ivy,” Tran tweeted. “I didn’t write the script y’all.”

She then followed with another tweet that read, “I am definitely team #BeyHive.”

She also took to Instagram where she wrote a lengthy explanation of what happened.

Tran said it was her first time on live television and she didn’t know what to do when she saw the script on the teleprompter dissing baby Blue.

Despite her apologies, it seems like she just can’t get a break.

One Instagram user left a comment saying, “You know the difference between right and wrong you aren’t 3.”

Others pointed out that Tran could have genuinely expressed her disappointment in the joke instead of laughing after she read it.

Eventually, BET’s president of Music Programming and Specials, Stephen Hill, tried to come to Tran’s rescue.

“Last night on ‘106 & Park’ there was a stupid, unthoughtful joke made about a young child,” Hill said on Twitter. “We apologize publicly to the child’s parents (and have done so privately) and we have taken punitive actions with those responsible. It was very bad judgment and we will serve you much better in the future. Oh, and please don’t hate on Karrueche; it was NOT her fault. We apologize to her for putting her in that position.”

Meanwhile, the BeyHive has been making jokes about 106 & Park going on a brief one-week hiatus.

Although the network did not explain the small break, Beyonce fans insist that the powerhouse songstress had the show put on “time out” for making fun of Blue’s hair.
