this is about as lodgical as his comedy…he's not funny and he is illodgical, it makes no since.
Lodgical? Illodgical? Since? …sigh.. Sorry to say but you're probably not his target audience.
Brotha, you need spell check in the worst way. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. I got a headache trying to read this Maxjulian Coleman.
wow thats DEEP.
maybe you are the mediocre types he's talking about because you are using words you can't spell. it isn't a typo either cause you consistently screw them up….and CR is very funny , you just aren't smart enough to understand what he is saying
when trying to sound smart goes wrong lmaoo

Chris Rock is a walking talking idiot that “DOES NOT” speak for black people!!! Saying that that a black person could never beat a white person is a lie and outrageous to hear a father state something that stupid!!Black people like Chris Rock do more harm to the black race as white racism does!! Chris Rock is “NO” authority on black people!!! Stick to comedy!!!
I understand his point. The white person is never noticed. In that new neighborhood, in that new job, in the elevator, in returning the dropped toy of that five year old white girl, in very casual clothes that people see criminals wear on TV shows. Motives are never imputed to that white person. Assumptions are never made. But the Black man, in those situations, and countless others there is a "slight" double standard in force. Its not a coincidence, that in the Fortune 1000 world, the percentage of Black senior managers is much less than 1%. In white America the white person can get pursue, and obtain the "American Dream" with just average skills, and personality. The Black person needs above average, and/or superior skills, and personality to achieve the same level of success. Unless he starts his own business.
Sense
thats not what he was saying..hope you aren't a father because it would be outrageous for a father not to understand metphors..
Some people need to look up spell-check asap!
seemingly, you have totally missed the point he is trying to get across.

Chris Rock, a person that I deeply admire, couldn't be more wrong this time. Growth is one thing, but reality is another thing. I would argue that the white man is not the black man's problem at all. The black man's problem [sic] pure and simple, is the historical and current orientation of the majority of black men. This conditioned and intrinsic historical problem extends far beyond America's borders, or to a time when black men came into contact with white men!
Comprehension is a vital skill.

This conditioned and intrinsic historical problem extends far beyond America's borders, or to a time when black men came into contact with white men. If we are ever to solve the problem, we will have to admit the truth and proceed to solve the real and the intrinsic problem. For example, how many black males were slaughtered in black enclaves last night. The KKK, doesn't even bother to come to black enclaves anymore. How come? Misinformed black males are doing the deed to each other! DUMBBBBBBB!

was Richard pryor an "authority" (by the way ty, are you white? blacks don't really use that term, authority. in this context, it is dismissive) on black people? yeah, I would say. was paul mooney an expert on black culture? he taught Richard, so yeah. point is, these comics merely reflect the reality they LIVE everyday. it's not just a job for them. comedy itself blossoms from tragedy. ever hear of holocaust humor, gallows?

Cornelius, you are comparing apples and oranges. What you are saying is the pathology of what Chris is talking about. Chris is absolutely correct in his analysis. Plus, those 15 cops did not beat Rodney King, no matter what the video tape showed.
I agree with Chris on this one, and would also like to suggest that this is why Garvey was right when he suggested that blacks focus their resources more on cultivating an independent black market, as opposed to demanding equal representation and access to a historically white market. We can't continue to ask for equal opportunities in a market that was never intended for anyone but other whites. Asian Americans figured this out, and now have a collective level of affluence that surpasses white America.
LAW ABIDING BLACK PEOPLE STOP ASSOCIATING YOURSELF WITH BAD WRONG DOING BLACK PEOPLE!!
Law enforcement in America have been very successful in planting in the public heads. That black person plus crime equal black person!!! Whether black or white or other the public believe all black people are born to be criminal!!! I’m black I hate criminal!!!! Yes I said it! I could care less what race of criminals I hate criminals!!! I’m a law abiding black man as is my brother two sisters and mother! Matter of fact I worked in law enforcement most of my life! That why I hold “NO” responsibility to crimes committed by black people just because I’m black! AND NOR SHOULD ANY LAW ABIDING BLACK PERSON!!! I’m sick of hearing law abiding blacks that after hearing of black on black crime. State: We got to stop killing each other” or “ That why they treat “US” the way they do” or “ We got to be better” etc….THINK you did nothing wrong and that black criminal “DOES NOT” represent YOU” JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE BLACK!!! Also Bill Cosby “DOES NOT” speak for all black people nor does he know all black people!!!! ALL BLACK PEOPLE ARE NOT CRIMINAL!!!! ALL BLACK TEENS ARE NOT THUGS!!! ALL BLACK TEENS ARE NOT AT RISK!!
How many times have you listen to the news report a crime committed and waited to find out WAS HE OR SHE BLACK? Understand the American media whether liberal or conservative is bias and racist and white controlled! The media knows your waiting and many times they play with your mind. The media has condition you (the public) that all crime is black involve! They do this by repeating black on black crime or identifying the black criminal! Tall skinny and or built BLACK” man!!! Rarely this is done to the white race!! After white John Wayne Gacy murdered and raped 33 plus white males. NEVER did you her white people state: We got to stop killing each other” or “ That why they treat “US” the way they do” or “ We got to be better” etc….
Nor did the white control media mention white on white crime!! NO” we black people are the only race that has to hear their race describe like THAT! Black on black crime96% white on white crime 93%….This means “WE” all have problems in the human race!!! At current levels of incarceration because of America’s racist and bias court system newborn. Black males in this country have a greater than a 1 in 4 chance of going to prison during their lifetimes, while Hispanic males have a 1 in 6 chance, and white males have a 1 in 23 chance of serving time. Based on current rates of first incarceration, an estimated 32% of black males will enter State or Federal prison during their lifetime, compared to 17% of Hispanic males and 5.9% of white males.
Still, the fact remains that whites commit more crimes on all levels — 54% vs. 45% for blacks, (even though blacks are 12.5% of the population) according to FBI arrest statistics. The numbers also vary widely depending on the crime, with blacks arrested for more murders and robberies (55% and 61% of these crimes, respectively) and whites committing more rapes and aggravated assaults (56% and 60%). Whites are less likely to be arrested for crime. Therefore their real criminal record cannot be recorded!!! The term crime does not, in modern times, have any simple and universally accepted definition, but one definition is that a crime, also called an offence or a criminal offence, is an act harmful not only to some individual, but also to the community or the state (a public wrong). Such acts are forbidden and punishable by law. What the media did was plan in the minds of the public CRIME EQUAL BLACK PEOPLE!!! BAD PEOPLE EQUAL BLACK PEOPLE and THEY ARE WRONG!!!! ALL BLACK PEOPLE ARE NOT CRIMINAL!!!! ALL BLACK TEENS ARE NOT THUGS!!! ALL BLACK TEENS ARE NOT AT RISK!!
Black people stop repeating what you read or hear on the news as truth!!! The media AKA the white control media is racist bias and pro-white anti-minority! It has create “ The Boogie Man “ mentality! It has create hatred towards black people …Especially black males! Now am I saying all blacks are law abiding and innocent ……………………HELL NO!!!!
Joan Coulter Then what problem do you have with my taking his reducible comments, one step further… for clarity's sake?
Cornelius Solomon My comments are self-explanatory.
Joan Coulter It's always great to have an expert on board, i.e., Joan Coulter. Your interpretation of what Chris said, or what I intended, diverges. And for the record, you spoke twice in categorical terms, be careful; I detect a pattern!
NEGATIVE IMAGE NEGATIVE STEREOTYPE TEACHING SELF HATRED BLACK PEOPLE IN AMERICA
The image of black people in America is horrible!! Criticism of black people is the white control media past time!! Demonizing the food black people eat or the names of black people is the pass time of white racist!!! Negative images and negative stereotypes the white control media and white politician. Have played a role in the demonizing of black people! Then it’s the lawless black ignorant ghetto stupid people!!

Also Bill Cosby “DOES NOT” speak for all black people nor does he know all black people!!!! ALL BLACK PEOPLE ARE NOT CRIMINAL!!!! ALL BLACK TEENS ARE NOT THUGS!!! ALL BLACK TEENS ARE NOT AT RISK!! Law abiding black people are seen as criminals and blame for the criminal activity of criminal black people! Blame of black criminals is place on poverty black single mother black teen mothers deadbeat black men and the lack of education!
QUESTION: How does society explain white criminal? How does 43 white only male only pass President explain how they were not able to correct white poverty? Highest rate of welfare living in poverty WHITE PEOPLE! There are more white single mothers and deadbeat dad! There are more white criminal yet the prisons “DOES NOT” reflect that!
LMAO! I agree with Benny!
Then… until next time!
Culling the herd wouldn't hurt either.
Tyrone Harvey You nailed it, the media, and how black males are precieved, pretty much everything you said, I agree. You said you hate crime, and most of us do, and our black males are committing a good bit. Having said that, when you understand white supremacy, and how it works, we all would know and understand why so many black males are in prison, it was intentionally designed, not to allow black males to be constructive, or successful, which cause them to resort to crime, and so, there you have it. And now today it is very profitable, you can buy prison stocks, lawmakers, make laws targeting blacks, own prison stocks, and I do not see anytime soon, the incarceration rate of blacks, and other men of color will decrease anytime in the near future. It truly is modern day slavery, the white establishment make, more money off blacks today than when we were held in slavery. The sports arena, it is amazing, and they don't want blacks to attend these universities where they are making millions and billions off black boys every year. And these blacks are creating many jobs from the sporting arena, the prison system, and many other areas, yet blacks, have always been in the high unemployment catagory. No jobs, the criteria for crime. Unbelievable. Yes, I must say, blacks produce just as much wealth for the white establishment, today, as we did in slavery, I believe more.
Cornelius Solomon The white man is not the black man's problem. So which planet are you from fo make a statement like that? Our whole earthly problem is, white supremacy. It was designed to destroy all people of color, and take their s…
Down with the nonsense
Okay so Cris Rock, is a comedian, dosen't mean he cannot have an opinion, and a good one at that. Too bad, many do not see his point, why not? Instead of criticizing him, try to understand what he is saying. If blacks do not start to see what is happening around us, one day if and when they may start to see, it is going to be too late, what is going to make, so many blacks see, these folks do not care about you, and do not be fooled by the liberal ones, I think they may be, the cause so many balcks, refuse to see racism, blacks are living under a system of white supremacy, a system not made for blacks. Understand that.
IS INCARCERATION A FORM OF SLAVERY AND ARE WE JUST LETTING IT HAPPEN
Slavery of the pass is over but today has return in a different form……The incarceration of blacks for the same crime whites get slap on the risk or probation. Is a form of slavery!! Stop & Frisk is a form of slavery!! Overturning parts of the voting act is a form of slavery…Discrimination against blacks form of slavery…. The killing by police of UNARMED NON-COMBATIVE sometime handcuffed blacks in a form of slavery………..Saggy pants laws is a form of slavery…….!
I wonder sometime how slavery happened. How did white men capture Africans bring them to another country and enslave them! Million of Africans travel by ship, pack in like sardines. Many died on the way I understand that!! But how did ones they arrive force men and women and children to work for nothing? What were the method used? I asked these questions to get you thinking!! Thinking about how it can happen again or how it happen again! Fast forward to 2014 and America imprison more human being than any other country in the world! China has a population of a billion plus people United State population 325 million people. Minorities make up the majority of imprison people in America. Blacks take the lead! The so-call war on drugs turn out to really be a way to imprison and or enslave black people!! Another form of slavery!!!!
Consider this: According to a 2006 report by the American Civil Liberties Union, African Americans make up an estimated 15% of drug users, but they account for 37% of those arrested on drug charges, 59% of those convicted and 74% of all drug offenders sentenced to prison. Or consider this: The U.S. has 260,000 people in state prisons on nonviolent drug charges; 183,200 (more than 70%) of them are black or Latino. Such facts have been bandied about for years. But our politicians have consistently failed to take action on what has become yet another third rail of American politics, a subject to be avoided at all costs by elected officials who fear being incinerated on contact for being soft on crime. Or rather soft on hatred and discrimination against black people!!!!
Also consider this: There are city writing laws against saggy pants and fines upwards of $250 and or jail time. So obvious these laws target black male and are intended to harass and provoke black male. To escalate to chasing tasing beating imprisonment and or murdered! Many people, especially older, find the saggy pants trend objectionable, but does it qualify as a criminal act? Police officers shoot handcuffed blacks in the back face down. Saggy pants only becomes criminal when we make it so by passing laws that vilify what amounts to innocent behavior that in no way affects public safety. IS JUST EVIL!!! Benjamin Chavis, former executive director of the NAACP stated in a New York Times article, “I think to criminalize how a person wears their clothing is more offensive than what the remedy is trying to do.”
The prison system in America is the new “Jim Crow Laws” of the past TODAY! Blacks go to jail and prison when whites go home or place on probation or enter a program. For the same crimes! Many inmates cannot vote. Like their father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather, convicted felon have been denied the right to participate in our electoral democracy. Black men who were born in the United States but who were denied the most basic freedom that democracy promises — the freedom to vote for those who will make the rules and laws that govern one’s life. Convicting blacks are another way of Voter Suppression i.e. Jim Crow Laws”!
Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, as one of his last acts in office Saturday, reduced the sentence of a 23-year-old African-American inmate named Travion Blount to 40 years in prison, making him eligible for release at age 55. Blount was serving six life sentences plus 118 years in prison without parole. His crime was participating in an armed robbery in Norfolk, Va., at the age of 15 along with two older friends, both aged 18. The three young men forced partygoers to surrender their cellphones, money and marijuana at gunpoint and were caught almost immediately by police. No one was killed or injured.
The two 18-year-olds, Morris Downing and David Nichols, accepted plea deals and received sentences of only 10 and 13 years each. But Blount decided not to plead guilty and instead requested a trial. The Virginia judge in his case issued one of the harshest sentences ever handed down to a juvenile in the United States for a non-homicide-related offense, equivalent to four felonies for every person who was present at the party.
WAKE UP AND DEMAND POLITICIAN WRITE LAWS TO PROTECT CITIZEN AND ABOLISH LAWS THAT HURT OR PROMOTE VIOLENT AGAINST HUMAN BEING!!!!!!
SEA ANIMALS ARE MORE RESPECTED THEN HUMAN BEING IN AMERICA ESPECIALLY WHEN WHITE POLICE OFFICERS ARE INVOLVE
On Saturday I like to look at “Sea Rescue” watching the mostly white rescue crew take care to rescue animal and nurse them back to health. They take every care to not to hurt the rescue animal when transporting the animal. They seem so dedicated and professional! This is not cheap but somehow the cost is never mention. Sometime the rescue crew put their lives in danger to rescue these sea animals! This got me to thinking how police officers treat or rather mis-treat mental ill human being. Or senior citizen or young children. Especially when white police officers are involve!! Please read what I think is an unbelievable story of obvious police brutality!
(CN) – Police Tasered an 86-year-old disabled grandma in her bed and stepped on her oxygen hose until she couldn't breathe, after her grandson called 911 seeking medical assistance, the woman and her grandson claim in Oklahoma City Federal Court. Though the grandson said, "Don't Taze my granny!" an El Reno police officer told another cop to "Taser her!" and wrote in his police report that he did so because the old woman "took a more aggressive posture in her bed," according to the complaint.
Lonnie Tinsley claims that he called 911 after he went to check on his grandmother, whom he found in her bed, "connected to a portable oxygen concentrator with a long hose." She is "in marginal health, [and] takes several prescribed medications daily," and "was unable to tell him exactly when she had taken her meds," so, Tinsley says, he called 911 "to ask for an emergency medical technician to come to her apartment to evaluate her." In response, "as many as ten El Reno police" officers "pushed their way through the door," according to the complaint.
The grandma, Lona Varner, "told them to get out of her apartment."The remarkable complaint continues: "Instead, the apparent leader of the police [defendant Thomas Duran] instructed another policeman to 'Taser her!' He stated in his report that the 86 year-old plaintiff 'took a more aggressive posture in her bed,' and that he was fearful for his safety and the safety of others.
"Lonnie Tinsley told them, 'Don't taze my Granny!' to which they responded that they would Taser him; instead, they pulled him out of her apartment, took him down to the floor, handcuffed him and placed him in the back of a police car.
"The police then proceeded to approach Ms. Varner in her bed and stepped on her oxygen hose until she began to suffer oxygen deprivation.
"The police then fired a Taser at her and only one wire struck her, in the left arm; the police then fired a second Taser, striking her to the right and left of the midline of her upper chest and applied high voltage, causing burns to her chest, extreme pain and to pass out.
"The police then grabbed Ms. Varner by her forearms and jerked hands together, causing her soft flesh to tear and bleed on her bed; they then handcuffed her.
"The police freed Lonnie Tinsley from his incarceration in the back of the police car and permitted him to accompany the ambulance with his grandmother."
Tinsley says the cops capped it all off by having his grandmother "placed in the psychiatric ward at the direction of the El Reno police; she was held there for six days and released."
"As a result of the wrongful arrest and detention, the plaintiff Lona M. Varner suffered the unlawful restraint of her freedom, bodily injury, assault, battery, the trashing of her apartment, humiliation, loss of personal dignity, infliction of emotional distress and medical bills."
They seek punitive damages for constitutional violations, from the City of El Reno, Duran, Officers Frank Tinga and Joseph Sandberg, and 10 Officers Does.
They are represented by Brian Dell of Oklahoma City
Bottom line constantly I hear the white control media demonize and criminalize and criticize Muslim countries for the treatment of other Muslims. Yet fail to recognize or rather acknowledge white police in America that are just as worse!!!!
Categorical determinism is a major flaw, that hinders progress and progressives!
The very same year Halle Berry won her Oscar for 'Monster's Ball', she won a Razzie for Worst Actress as well. Normally, the actors don't show up to claim that award. However, she did, and parodied her tearful Oscar acceptance speech.
The right to suck is important, since the margin for error is miniscule to nonexistent for black people. The pressure to succeed and continue succeeding is sometimes too great to bear for some.
If we take education serious and pull all our resources collectively there's no stopping us as people. But everybody has to be on the same page. No deviousness.
I understand this perfectly well. I study in Russia, in my class, I am one of the best students, but i noticed how my teachers make big deals of my mistakes, you would think with my record, I am insured enough to make mistakes, but sadly they do not think so. I was made to be absolutely perfect, or else their opinion of me plummets, trust me that is how it drops, and this was really psychologically discomfiting, I got tired, I didn't care anymore, you take me as I am or do whatever you want to do. I found out something too; as the next white person, i should make mistakes, and should learn from them
I understand the need to point out typos, grammatical erros and such; however, wouldn't it be more product if we attempted to respect varying perspectives. There will be and are many that do not understand or have the insight to drill down to understanding some information. Each one, teach one. The divisive criticism continues to widen the gap in a community that desperately needs more compassion for their brother man.

I agree with Chris. This is why I love Tyler Perry for what he has accomplished in the entertainment industry. Tyler, unlike Spike Lee, didn't look to white executives in Hollywood to give him work. Tyler built his own studio, produced his own films, and has hired more African-American people than any other black celebrity. For that alone, he should be applauded! Tyler is a fine example to our race about how we should FINALLY stop accepting handouts, stand up and become independent and make our own way in life. We need to step up our game.
Seen the same thing happen to black academics here in South Africa. Don't let it get to you because that's exactly their point. When you show them how little you care, they will begin to realise they can't ever browbeat you into a corner. It's a mind game. They need training – just how you would a pet. Keep being your awesome self
AMEN!!
Tyrone Harvey what Chris was talking about was beyond your comprehension! Just sit down and don't comment…..
I understand Chris' metaphor and how it relates to many black/white situations -but not all. I'm sorry his dad used to tell him that "you CAN'T beat white people at anything", because it's not true in all cases. I guess the point he's trying to make is simply, if you're black in white America you have to go over and above what is required to win. But in my opinion, the bottom line is we CAN win…we CAN win. I feel like this is a form of propaganda. I hear an underlining message that white people have ALL OF THIS POWER and you just can't beat them. That message alone can evoke fear into some people and drown their aspirations. I don't understand his reason for promoting this video. If you want to inform young, black, future leaders of America just be straight forward. In this world, you may have to face people (some with power, some without) who will use injustice, hostility, prejudice and all manner of unethical practices to hinder you from your goals. Sometimes you may have to do more than necessary to accomplish a goal or win a fight -but it can be done. It's up to you to prepare and place yourself in a position where you can withstand these obstacles. This is what I would tell my children.
Exactly what I needed to hear. Thanks Chris.
I really agree with Randy!
All I see is an advertisement .. no Chris Rock footage… scam.
Exactly!
I love Chris Rock but I've got to call him out here! Larry Holmes knocked out Cooney in Round 13 and he was ahead on all 3 scorecards. LOL — not the best example C Rock. But I see where he's going and I do agree somewhat.
Well put Wazo Uhuru..
I believe you and Chris are saying the same thing. He said you can't beat them, you have to knock them out. Knocking them out is going beyond beating them, because being better is not enough with the obstacles we face. He's saying you're not going to win unless you knock them out, whether you're better or not. You said the same thing when you said "Sometimes you may have to do more than necessary".
Let us not forget that Tyler had the way paved by the Spike Lee's of this world, who had the way paved by the Cosby and Van Peebles, who had the way paved by Roberson, etc. Let us not forget She's Gotta Have It, Spike’s first feature-length motion picture as a writer/director was a landmark independent film. The New York Times wrote that the film "ushered in the American independent film movement of the 1980s and was also a groundbreaking film for African-American filmmakers and a welcome change in the representation of blacks in American cinema." His second film School Daze employed the likes of the then Larry Fishburne and Sam Jackson, not to mention Tisha Cambell, Giancarlo Esposito, and many others. He paid homage to the great Ossie Davis who acted in no less than 6 of his films, a noted Director himself of early African American films, along with his wife the great Ruby Dee. I commend Tyler in his own right but let us not forget he broke in with coon like plays in which the AA community supported before he went "mainstream". I'm happy for his success and what he has accomplished, but everyone gets it done in their own way, not to demean any other.
Clarification: Cooney had three points deducted for low blows by referee Mills Lane. Had he not, he would have been ahead on 2 of the 3 judges scorecards. Holmes would have been losing 111 to 110 on those two cards after 12 rounds.
Would have been … was not though! This fight was close, very close.
The better fighter won that night
Truth!
Makes some good points.

The fact that all of you posted on this and having a conversation about this is what makes me happy. So many people are looking for solutions and per usual there is no one right answer. But the sharing of ideas is a great place to start. I feel strongly that educating children about self-worth and and the value of community is critical. But there's so much more to it than that. I'm happy that blacks/whites are more open to share their opinions about these issues. I just want to give everyone props for doing this and I hope more races get involved in discussions such as these.
This us coming from an Asian American…you hit right on the head. Was wondering if you guys would ever figure it out?!
yes, but we foster this nonsense by patting ourselves on the back and telling our children that they have to be "twice as good." Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with teaching your children what is real and true, but to go along with telling them to be twice as good, I think you have to continue the fight with all of your might to eliminate a system that requires more from you than anybody else. There I think many blacks fall short and thereby help to perpetuate a system that is fundamentally unfair. Bottom line is that any system that can demand more from you than anybody else can just deny you altogether.
Out of curiosity, are you saying that in modern day America, a black man's historical condition is the reason for racism and blatant bias in the media, judicial system… and just about every other system? It is the reason could be one of the best at my craft on the West Coast and still get marginalized by my non-black counterparts?
EMBRACING WHITE ON WHITE CRIME LAW ENFORCEMENT AND ENTERTAINMENT SEE WHITE ON WHITE CRIME AS MONEY IN THE BANK.
James Joseph "Whitey" Bulger, Jr. is an white American convicted murderer and former organized crime figure. Based on grand jury testimony from Kevin Weeks' former associates, U.S. prosecutors indicted Bulger for 19 murders. Bulger is the brother of former President of the Massachusetts Senate Billy Bulger. Beginning in 1975, Bulger served as an informant for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). As a result, the Bureau largely ignored his organization in exchange for information about the inner workings of the Italian American Patriarca crime family. In other words the FBI allowed Bulger to murdered people and commits other crimes! Beginning in 1997, the New England media exposed criminal actions by federal, state, and local law enforcement officials tied to Bulger. For the FBI especially, this has caused great embarrassment but no one discipline or fire. On December 23, 1994, after being tipped off by his former FBI handler about a pending indictment under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), Bulger fled Boston and went into hiding. For 16 years, he remained at large. For 12 of those years, Bulger was prominently listed on the FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.
On June 22, 2011, Bulger was arrested outside an apartment in Santa Monica, California. Arrested with him was his longtime girlfriend Catherine Greig. Bulger was 81 years old at the time of his arrest. Soon after, Bulger and Greig were extradited to Massachusetts and brought under heavy guard to the waterfront federal courthouse. This necessitated the closing of part of Boston Harbor. Greig pleaded guilty to conspiracy to harboring a fugitive, identity fraud and conspiracy to commit identity fraud, and was sentenced in June 2012 to eight years in prison. Bulger did not seek bail and remained in custody at the Plymouth County House of Correction in Plymouth, Massachusetts. On November 5, 2012, Bulger was taken to a hospital from his Plymouth prison cell after complaining of chest pains.
On June 12, 2013, Bulger went on trial for 32 counts of racketeering, money laundering, extortion, and weapons charges; including his complicity in 19 murders. On August 12, 2013, he was found guilty on 31 counts, including both racketeering charges, and was found to have been involved in 11 murders. On November 14, 2013, Bulger was sentenced to two consecutive life terms plus five years for his crimes by U.S. District Judge Denise Casper. As of January 10, 2014 Bulger is currently incarcerated at the United States Penitentiary in Tucson, Arizona. Bulger is also possibly involved with the murder of an unidentified woman, dubbed "Lady of the Dunes", who was murdered in Provincetown, Massachusetts, in 1974. After a facial reconstruction, it was reported that he was seen in the city with a woman who matched Lady of the Dune's description.
In the last 3 months there have been over 30 mass shooting at school and businesses by white criminals! Then it’s the shooting of UNARMED people by whites! Yet to date there no stereotyping white people! No demonizing white single mothers! No blaming deadbeat white dads! There “NO” white leadership to answer the question of WHY? There may be one on two movie in the works about James Joseph "Whitey" Bulger, Jr! Glorifying white crime is traditional and disgusting and racist! The reason I wrote about this man is to show how white criminal are treated compare to all other race! Now I admit this is the extreme “I THINK” but maybe will explain the disproportionate imprisonment of blacks!

How the hell is any one going tell me a 56 year old black man HOW TO BE BACK IN A WHITE DOMINATED America…………………YOU CAN't!!! I lived and surviving it!!!
Rickey Patrice UNFAIR WHITE RACISM DISRESPECT OF THE NEGRO LEAGUE THAT BASEBALL THAT WHITE RACISM
Most everyone knows that Jackie Robinson was the first black American to play in the white major league baseball during the modern era. Surprisingly, few people have given much thought or respect to how Robinson came to the attention of major league scouts, where he played before signing with the Dodgers, or just what the nature of baseball in the black community might have been before professional baseball's integration. Baseball's color barrier cracked on April 18, 1946 when Jackie Robinson, signed to the Dodgers organization by owner Branch Rickey, made his first appearance with the Montreal Royals in the International League.
After a single season with Montreal, Robinson joined the parent club and helped propel the Dodgers to a National League pennant. Along the way he also earned National League Rookie of the Year honors. Robinson's success opened the floodgates for a steady stream of black players into white organized baseball. Robinson was shortly joined in Brooklyn by Negro League stars Roy Campanella, Joe Black and Don Newcombe, and Larry Doby became the American League's first black star with the Cleveland Indians. The white league DID NOT recognize RBI in the Negro League. This was wrong on all levels because both the Negro league and the White league were played in America!
By 1952 there were 150 black players in organized baseball, and the "cream of the crop" had been lured from Negro League rosters to the integrated minors and majors. Run batted in (plural, runs batted in; and, abbreviated as RBI) is a statistic used in baseball and softball to credit a batter when the outcome of his or her at bat results in a run being scored, except in certain situations such as when an error is made on the play. The first team to track RBIs was the Buffalo Bisons. However, Major League Baseball did not recognize the RBI as an official statistic until 1920.
A truly, good comedian does not sugarcoat. They observe then throw it back in your face. That's what makes it either funny or thought-provoking. He used excellent sports analogies. For black people it's about what it takes to be considered truly equal through the "knockout". the expectations of White America wants its cream of the crop minorities to be the knockouts. Of course there are good and bad points to it but only those that do then enter in the state of privilege.
He's an idiot. I hate to say it because I'm truly not racist but black people love to hang on to one or two examples of oppression almost as a way to give up, cop out, and justify their failures on the white man. There are tons of examples of black people succeeding, but instead of using that as a way to rise up and succeed, they would rather dwell on the "white mans oppression" of black people. A few examples: Barry Bonds, Tim Bradley (who everyone agrees robbed pacquiao of a win), Mayweather, Obama, and none other than Chris Rock himself who is rich as shit off the white mans dollar! He's an example of why celebrities need to stay out of politics.
I only have one thing to say is will they let us be independent? And leave us alone?
Youre an idiot.. Racism is very real in this country.. The end..
Who create the game set the standards, and get to make the rules of the game, and that have to be done through having economic strengths, an independent mind and love of self. when I start seeing white women on the trains with afro wigs and braids and white males reading black own publications on their way to wall street, and black Jesus in their Churches I will know we are way we need to be as a people. Check out HOWLBACK.COM a social networking site I creating with that goal in mind.
The fact that you're generalizing and lumping all black people into one bucket makes you come off racist to me.
I never said racism wasn't real Denise, but thanks for the unfounded insult, real mature. The end. And Michael, I'm doing exactly what Chris Rock did so I guess he's a racist to huh?
Chris is correct on his lead premise, however, his analogy of Baseball's inclusion of Black ball players and their mediocrity during the 70's is misleading. Curt Flood changed Major League Baseball (M L B) with the idea of "FREE AGENCY" the reason those players as Chris said, "sucked" because America wanted to safeguard M L B's legacy until it was profitable for Hank Aaron to break Babe Ruth's H R record. The difference between parity and mediocrity is seeking equality from those who will never see you as an equal.
I remember that fight too
So it was founded and mature for you to call Chris Rock an idiot for stating something that is true.. Something Ive experienced many times and you never will..
We did figure it out; however, historically these mecca's of thriving black communities were always destroyed by white folks – see Rosewood, FL., – Tulsa, Ok (black wall street), etc….and now as this poster said, it's been about assimilation and integration. Asians have always got it right, but you have to remember, their culture goes back 1000's of years…Black American's maybe 140 years since emancipation.
There you go assuming again Denise, while in the Marines I've been to many places and experienced more hate than you can fathom. so please save this "you've never walked in my shoes" crap.
So giving examples of a few persons a color that have been successful equates to there no longer being race-based challenges for black people? So now that we have a Black President the glass ceiling just broke all of a sudden in 2008? Also just because you're a rich black person means that either your now 100% immune to racism or you should now be disconnected and no longer concerned with race-based challenges of black people?
I endorse your view. Perfectly said.
Do not ignore the fact that Spike Lee did not get of his gender character to make it. It disturbs me that a black man cannot be a man but has to hide behind another persona to make it. My question is because his talent would Tyler had gotten this successful being a black man with a story and no dress in the business
?
Chris's comments just went over your head!
Chris is not running for office. He is a celebrity with an opinion
Not at all Michael. I don't think my comment implied that but if it did that's not what I intended. I'm basically saying that not just black people but all people really, need to stop harping on the holmes type examples and latch on to the Ali type…..use that to rise up , instead of the former to stay down.
No one could have said it quite like you Chris! 🙂
Very true Teta, and I'm a Chris too with an opinion.
Tyrone Harvey lol. This has absolutely nothing to do with Chris' point, sir. If I may explain, the only reason Jackie Robinson was allowed to play in the white leagues is because of the fact that he was an extraordinary athlete who's value (in particularly financially) as a player couldn't be ignored. That does not equal equality because weaker white players were allowed to flourish in the league for a long time while relatively average or slightly above average black players were not even considered because of their race. True equality is when everyone is considered based upon the merits of their talent and not the color of their skin. Until then, as a black in America, you must work twice as hard to gain "equal" footing in this society. I think that was Chris' point.
Tyrone Harvey he actually said they CAN be beat you just have to KNOCK them out to be recognized as winning…Short version 🙂
Kevin Baldwin I totally concur with your statement…We have to remember our History makers…
Tyrone Harvey, let's think this through: young black men are killed by police every 28 hours, and even more are killed by security guards, neighborhood watch, etc., and are told to "pull up their pants and stop challenging the police!", as if compliance will definitely save their lives.
OK, fine. However, if you look at the pictures of young black men and women who were lynched, burned and attacked by police and dogs, they were dressed in suits, dresses, shirts and ties, etc. Their clothes were not a reason, nor were they a deterrent, to their being killed, beaten, jailed, etc.
STOP pulling away from our youth! This is a setup: they want us to disown our young black men and women so they can do whatever they want to do with them, and we'll justify it by saying" Well, if he just had his pants pulled up, the cops wouldn't have stopped him and he would be alive today. Let's understand what we're dealing with….
That is so deep and explains so much.
Maurice Simpkins Good question. If history has any baring on the matter then I would have to refer to the Black Wall street experience as a reminder of how afraid the white man is of black independence. With that said, I would have to assume the answer would be No, b/c if they were going to "Let Us", then we would have been already; but that shouldn't stop us from trying.
This Dumb @$$ Shyt
Nonsense
Suck like the so called WM. There's no sucking at Ish. #100
The reality, The System is trumped up against Us as a People, this is not an excuse, especially If you consider how the Black race is portrayed in corporate media around the World, it is no wonder why we as a people, especially those of us speaking different languages, do not identify with each other, The Curse of Babel.
We African / Americans are a family and it is time that we begin working toward our own family's interests. The idea that, "Charity begins at home" is not separatism nor selfishness. The neglecting of ourselves and relying on others to provide for us nurtures that negative perception other families have of our community.
Before Affirmative Action.
https://hbcuconnect.com/content/102487/before-affirmative-action
I went to Catholic school with the Irish and the Italians in NYC. The Irish were the police capitalizing on the Italian crime syndicate of extortion and the Jewish controlled the courts profiting on the Blacks and Hispanics incarceration for, most times trumped up cases.
The Jewish were also the slum landlords and merchants exploiting and taking full advantage of the plight of the Black communities to enrich their own.
After saying all of this, the issue is very little has changed since then and now.
It is their fear of Our Potential and Their Inferiority Complex(ion).
you have joined the losers I used to like you
True! A white man that drops out of High School will get a job before a black man with a Master's Degree. That's why we have to form our own support systems.
Both Randy, and James make GREAT points.
Chris Rock has a STRONG point here. Now nothing is an end all, be all, but his point has real validity.
Chris you are ON POINT!
That was the stupidest thing I ever listened to
You have to understand the influence of time upon perspectives.
In Chris' father's day. a black man could be strung up for even trying to BEAT the white man.
In Chris' day and experience, he's found that merely being over-qualified would not necessarily put you over the white man in the white man's system.
Chris is, effectively, saying … that you have to be knock-out. IOW, you have to be so brilliant such that you are so much the obvious choice, … that you simply cannot be denied. An example of such a person is Barak Obama.
I work with the homeless in St. Louis, white and black. I know them by name, family, back story. One of my guys, Jeff, a black man, received housing from the city so it had been a few months since I had seen him. We finally got to catch up and he told me with great pride he bought a gun and got his CCW. He lives in a lil rough area. I asked him has he ever felt the need to use it. He explained no, I got it cause of the crazy cops! I ask Jeff if he ever had a run in with the police or if he knew anyone that had. I knew the answer before he blurted it out. "NO, I DON'T LIVE THAT LIFESTYLE!" I let him sit with that for a minute. As I affirmed his conviction while feeling so sad, he didn't appear to understand what he said. He is my buddy, and I hope that conversation sits with him like it has with me. Dear God, please allow our pain be that of growth!~.
This is why it is so impotent for all of black media to start talking about who the black people are and where there real place in life stand. Ebola, Aids and other viruses are no mistake, there is a reason why they are so heavily affecting blacks world wide. Dr Wouter Basson and the delta G lad made the viruses to kill off many blacks as they can. The Truth and Reconciliation Commission, South Africa start by Nelson Mandela went after (http://www.justice.gov.za/trc/special/index.htm#cbw), Dr. Wouter Basson and the evil that was done to blacks. They did this so that blacks would not see what's in the video I have added to this post. Every black magazine radio talk show news paper must start posting things like what I have post and they need to post all at once. The reason for this is to give cover to our main stream media Blacks. They can only talk about what the network want them to talk about but if it is a hot issue with all black media they must talk about it at that time. Robert Bauval who world renown Ancient Egypt researcher have put out the truth and has blast America for not telling the truth of who blacks are please check out my Facebook page which show this. Not all whites are bad an layers the post that's in this video are by whites they just get shut down like we as blacks do. If you black you need to see this. After looking at the video post back on here lets talk about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeHNCG2GLWc. Copy this link and check it out.
I like chris but I have no idea what in the hell he was babbling about.
I am not surprise look at your skin. duhh
I am not surprise look at your skin. duhh
Jevon Thomas ahhhh…..race baiting…how original of you…LOL
Jevon. I understand how u feel. Well maybe I really dont. But still look at the president's skin. That rank by Rock was dumb. Come on man. It was dumb
We as black people need to come together . that's when we make the biggest impact. Things will never be fair for us. We have to treat each other right. Unity is strength. That means those that have made it, reach back and help another up. To those that are down , stop letting you enviroment define you. Stoo that rachet b.s. it aint cute , funny or needed. It only serves to set us back. Store owners, quit overcharging! And consumers give your on people a chance in business
The fact is, we do have to be twice as good and we will, and my kids will be taught to be better than twice as good just to be sure because average success isn't enough. We do need to separate from that system and build something better. We need to establish and support black business, build black communities into places to be desired rather than having much to be desired and above all, we need for those among us who accept mediocrity because "that's the way it is" to break away from that.
If anyone disagrees with this….they are probably really stupid! yeah I said it.
Always amazing to me how few black people who has made it seems to have the answers for the whole. Disrespect for the other people who grew up in the same neighborhood he grew up in who had dreams that they persuade which didn't work out for no fault of their own.
The problems today are not so much white people, but moreso Black people. Since the beginning of integration in this country, we have fled from each other. As a people, until we come back to each other, the professional to the homeless, the rich to the poor, the happy to the depressed, we will not, we cannot move forward and will continue to be in a position of ALLOWED OPPRESION. We can always conveniently point the finger in another direction and it will never change one thing. What we CAN do is look at US and change what WE have control over. I don't worry about white people and what they do. MY concern is US and what WE do regarding ourselves as individuals and as a people.
Amen Botha!
*brotha!
Kick Rocks
Tyrone I think you completely missed his point. You may have other reasons to call Chris and Idiot, but in this case i think he made a great point. He essentially said that it is not enough to just win, you have to knock out your opponent, in other word you have to be better than your white counterpart in order to win, there aren't any room for a mediocre Blacks in America… (well unless we are discussing Hip hop lol, but that for another topic).
Chris is correct in his observations. It is true that a black person has to out perform, be well educated…even then he/she is considered to have arrived because he/she is black or because of affirmative action. This happens everywhere i.e. in the military I was instructed to teach young white men the job and they moved on (advanced). I've been brought in to clean a unit up prior to an inspection, passed the inspection, then sent to another unit to clean it up. Each time when I left a white person was placed in charge…I just called them the people that drank a lot of coffee and sucked up to their superiors. Now that has happened to me in the military and the private sector, You ask why blacks don't start their own businesses, simple they can only fail one time usually….they lose everything and are not given a second chance. You can take a white homeless person off the street, cut his hair, dress him in a suit, put a brief case in his hand and he will be given a chance to succeed no matter how often he fails…that in essence is "white privilege." Yes there are successful blacks…oh but they are damn good at what they do and if they were not making money for the white man they would not be there. You know its something to be rich…rich is a word but when someone refer to you as wealthy…man the wealthy are the ones paying the rich…how many blacks can you name that are wealthy?
Chris is right some aspect. However, the only way black people will win is to be primordial spiritually. This will train us to become communal in our thinking. The Sunday sermon is the greatest tragedy in our communities, and our Achilles heel. Every time you and your children go to Church on Sunday, you are continually validating the same doctrine that justified the enslavement of millions of Africans, your forefathers. It may not seem important to you because, your mind is already programmed, and therefore difficult for you to accept the fact that you have been hoodwinked. You mortgage the future of your children by not equipping them with knowledge of their past, and primordial spiritual tenets and behavior, and consequently making it difficult for them to show the world that the black man and woman have always been capable of original thinking.
To establish their footprint, they will have to go hard, strap their dignity around their wastes, and strike a mighty blow. And like Chris said, now they will have to “knock the white man out to win”, they will have to work twice as hard to earn their God given right to sit at the same table with the rest of the human community and partake in the bountiful feast of "Respect" accorded to those that choose to be primordial in their thinking. If you do not respect and appreciate your contribution to civilized behavior, no one will respect you. YOU HAVE TO TOOT YOUR OWN HORN LIKE OTHER PROMINENT HUMAN COMMUNITIES DO. This may ruffle some feathers, but it is the hard truth, and I know that a lot of you know this. You are being disrespected because; your concept of God is not primordial to you. If you believe that you were created in God’s image, but worship a God on Sunday who does not look like you, your confusion becomes permanent, and you will forever justify your worth by standards that are not representative of your history and ethnicity. You then become weak, stupid, gullible, violent, a glorified servant, disrespected at every turn, unable to separate folklore and mythology from truth and dependent on those who continually take away your freedom. Black folks need to wake up to the truth and stop sleep walking through our demise. As Chris Rock questioned in the past, "knowing what happened to black Africa, why would any black person want to be Christian" or Muslim for that matter. Myth over reality. Think deep, become Nkomii. http://www.africancalendarbookseries.org.
The truth, speak it!
Sorry Chris, I'm sure you love and respect your Dad but he is wrong on this. It's a bullshit excuse and sorry but you swallowed it hook, line and sinker.
Sorry man Holmes was winning on all 3 scorecards when the fight was stopped. Now he was winning due to point deductions by WHITE referee Mills Lane. And lest we think the judges were corrupt it was a close fight. You can hear Eddie Futch begging Holmes in the between rounds to "Not let this bum steal your title." Sometimes we don't remember things the way they happened. And just so you know you can "beat the white man" Tex Cobb got his ass kicked by Larry Holmes AND he lost a decision.
Tyrone Harvey pick up your Bible, read Deut 28:63-68, then read the whole chapter here is your answer to slavery.
Interesting perspective that hopefully, does not apply to medical professionals. No one who sucks should be placed in charge of life and death.
Anyone got the video link? All I get is a black box.
If I have anything I want to say to black people, it would be have patience. Full blown slavery wasn't long ago, nor was the civil rights movement. Those people are still alive. You can't effect the hearts and minds of adults; you effect the young. We have to teach our children to love and respect one another, and the future will be a bit better than today.
I get and agree with most of what Chris is saying, and get the joke of wanting to be able to "suck". But NO ONE, whatever their race, should aspire to be average or "suck". That's how people are manipulated emotionally; because they "suck" and are told the only reason they are in their situation is because someone else put them there/kept them down. Chris doesn't suck, he knows he doesn't suck, and he knows that's why people are paying attention to him here for this video, instead of one lighting himself on fire in the shower.
If you want to be successful in this country, there is one group that is more successful than any other and guess what? They are not Anglo-Saxon. Jews comprise 3% of the population and control a good deal of the wealth beyond 3%. Asians also do better than Anglo-Saxons and they are not even white. Blacks compose 13% of the population. Think what you could do if you started to emulate the Jews? I am not saying that it will be easy. It won't. But you can do a great deal better than you are doing by shunning the criminals in your group instead of protecting them from the police and protesting the 100 who die per year at the hands of the police, and ignoring the 10,000 per year that die at the hands of other blacks.
Anyone who says I hate criminals without knowing the facts has been brain washed and could objectively be worse than the criminal. You see American justice is to divide and conquer. Good vs Bad, Black vs White, Light vs Dark, Democrat vs Republican etc. America believes in the shoot first, ask later motto. Why is it that Americans are disliked so much. around the world. ASK. Why blacks are so angered by the unfairness of the justice system. ASK. Do your research and most will be shocked at the atrocities committed by America and/or America's proxies. The blinders are slowly coming off my friends.
Word up! ! He puts it down a lot
I am so sick of this black and white crap, let it go, let it go.
Im unable to see chris rock video.
When black people stop thinking we need white american approval for how we live our lives, we will excell and concord.
Did the dog in the commercial just meow?
Always insightful, I really enjoy listening to his perspective
100% correct as usual, Chris Rock.
This is up there! Profound in all its proclamations. An equal chance to suck – far from funny.
Mr. Sullivan. No one could have said it better than you.
Wow….thank you chris…something I've been preaching for a long time
Mike Hart Tell that to my father who's been working around Caucasians most of his life as an African. A double-standard does exist, and it has always been difficult for him to keep his cool about it, but eventually became accustomed to it. It's reality, and you simply cannot disregard this.
Well that escalated quickly
….remember the little league world series??? it reached a point n the late '70s when the asian and "latin" teams were consistently winning, with no american team in the finals. (few if any, black kids were playing in williamsport then). the organizers "solution" to fair play was to change the bracketing to a "world vs. usa" format, ensuring an american team was in the finals….with american umps…
The figh Holmes-Cooney was not close. I have seen it several times. Futch was saying this becasue he didn't BELIEVE that Holmes would get a fair decison from the judges. The fight was not close. I do agree that Rock's analogy was wrong though.
Ok we know as far as the race issue we agree. Now as a boxing fan how many rounds did you have Holmes up when it was stopped? As of the last time i watched it which was about a year ago, seems like i only remmber having Holmes up a couple rounds, which is how i define close. But ive been hit in hte head a lot in the last year too 🙂
I didnt hear a "solution".. Just a soliloquy on how "bad" it is to be black in america..IN FREEKIN 2015(!)..and how white people "always" win. The title of the article is misleading. The entire notion of black ppl relishing how it "sucks to be Black" is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Rock is funny, but after awhile, the shtick of the "pitiful, cant-win, white ppl got it on lock", angry black guy..gets old. ESPECIALLY, when I know the opposite is FACTUALLY true. We need to stop feeding into our own demise. I love Chris Rock's work, but I keep in mind that Rock is a comedian..not a philosopher.
This fool trhing to give a BLACK child back but on here talking bout how BLACK PPL can win in america. Boy shut up and go somewhere and sit your butt down. Smh
