Rapper Lil’ Kim was 18 when she found out she was carrying the child of her lover, fellow rapper Biggie Smalls, Notorious B.I.G. Smalls was married to R&B singer Faith Evans at the time and encouraged Lil Kim to get an abortion.
Kim’s romantic relationship with Smalls inspired a bitter rivalry with Evans that the two would play out in the gossip columns, on stage, and with their respective record labels.
How sad. By my count, that's at least 15 little babies by some of the most beautiful and talented women of any ethnicity to not even have a chance at life. I read a lot of sadness, depression, anxiety, etc. not empowerment.
To think that "leaders" of this "community" are still helping achieve Margaret Sanger's dream, just like those pastors they recruited decades ago.

While I have an admiration for many of these women, I am a little saddened when I hear about their abortions. I am pro life all the way. That child may have been given the gift and talent to cure cancer. We do not know. But let's not just hold the women responsible and give the men a free pass. They are responsible too. I think it is the most selfish act a human can make is to take the life of a child at the expense of making theirs more convenient. If you were grown enough to engage in unprotected sex, you're grown enough to deal with the consequences of your actions.
