  1. Jamal Harv says:

This is just plain wrong but this is the goal of the legal system for black men.

  2. Pete Christopher says:

this makes me sick. Hopefully someone in AT&T will re-hire him…or…he will file a civil suit for defamation against AT&T for lost wages, slander/defamation, and lost potential earnings….thus gain around $500,000 in the end. God ALWAYS has a way of working things out. While he will be an example, laws will likely change because of this and he will make a mark in history for others.

  3. Quita Mar says:

This is shameful. This case should be reevaluated and dismissed. So foul.

I think this is sad and very wrong . The saddest thing is when women used the system to be vengeful . I'm a woman and i'm not with that and never have been ,no bitterness in me.

Ares Texas and Georgia the worst State in the country? Geezzz….Every time you about crap like this it's from one of those two stupid States. Texas is just the worst….OMG!! The Governor should intervene but, he/she won't. This is a national embarrassment. Dude is Father of the Year. A good man….I bet his job will be waiting for him. If not….SUE THE HECK OUT OF THE EMPLOYER.

  11. Anonymous says:

This is just as bad as the Brotha who was forced to pay Child support for his DEAD SON! His son past away some 20 years ago. If the penal system don't kill you, they will try and destroy your will to live. This is heartbreaking. TEXAS IS THEEE WORST STATE FOR BLACKS!

  12. Men, this is not unusual and any woman can do to us what was done to this guy, and that's the point. What kind of women are more likely to do this? Feminist of all colors, and cherry picking traditionalist women.

  13. JWkeepsitreal Real says:

You know it Jamal. Also, these men did not make these babies by themselves. Some women are intentionally getting pregnant to get Child Support. All men of color need stand up with and for Mr. Hall.

  14. JWkeepsitreal Real says:

Racism as usual. Remember that's down in Bush Country.

  15. i have never heard any thing more stupid than this….what a joke. Hope you are doing ok Kenton

  16. Keren Jeanne says:

    by any means necessary

  17. Ramona Odom says:

What does this say about AT&T? They have/had the power, within their hands to step up and take full blame and fault for what THEY neglected to do, which is why this man is being made to go through this unbelievable atrocity. There are SO MANY levels that are just WRONG for not stepping in and ending this non-sense……
but of course….this is a prime example of what it means to be Black in America!

  18. Arnold Payne says:

Child Support is no longer about kids – its BS – a broke chick hustle…

  19. Keshawn Mcnair says:

    Georgia & Florida

  20. Gary Hill says:

he is being punished for doing everything right. our legal system is too dam straight forward it never has a plan for the what if factors that may occur. this is bullshit!!!

  23. People, People. It's Texas!!

  24. Shawn Smith says:

That law makes no damn sense.

  25. Pete Christopher If God existed, He could *BOOM* make this all better without the use of people.

  26. And where is his employer defending him as they should? "Wait! It IS NOT HIS FAULT! It's OURS! Punish US!"

Wouldn't that be nice and a feather in their cap?

  27. Doug Hamilton please go somewhere with that noise OUR GOD IS NOT THE SAME AS YOURS!! SO GO PREACH THAT ANTI GOD SLASH ATHEISTIC CRAP ELSE WHERE!
Thank you for your comment and shouts out to my Africans!!

  28. This is an outrage .. How does this happen ?? America making its money on the backs of breaking families left and right !..
    Disgraceful

  29. Marc Shade says:

Stop using the race excuse. It's not about being a "Black man", it's about being a victim of circumstances. This could've happened to anyone REGARDLESS of race….

  30. OH REALLY HOW MANY WHITE MEN DO YOU SEE WITH A GOOD JOB GOING TO JAIL FOR CHILD SUPPORT THAT WAS PAID BUT NEVER GIVING TO F.O.C…….NAME ONE CASE.

  31. Marc Shade says:

Tee Allknowledge, why don't YOU name how many Chinese men, Arab men, Hispanic men with good jobs going to jail for child support that was paid but never giving to FOC…..YOU name one case.

This is an isolated case in which the victim "just so happened" to be Black. In fact, why don't YOU name a case similar as THIS one…."same" situation, "same" race of victim.

I sense bigotry in your response (immediately targeting the Whites)…..it may be of no use to me to try reasoning with you……

  32. When white people say, "I'm not racist… I have a Black friend," you're that friend.

  33. Elaine Parry says:

Prisons are the slave ships of the 20/21st centuries.

  34. Marc Shade – Every time I say that I'm not going to reply or respond to a fb or any other social media comment, I run into someone with your mentality. No, this man doesn't just happen to be Black; he is BLACK. Period. You are free to pretend that racism against Blacks doesn't exist in America, that's your prerogative, but most of us know better and we will continue speaking out against it and speaking up to Black people who talk like you do.

No, Tee Allknowledge is not demonstrating any bigotry in his comments. You would know that if you weren't so busy trying tear down him down. Which is typical for people who want to escape being who God made them to be. Get a clue; will you.

  35. Marc Shade says:

Margie Campbell-Threadgill "Great minds think alike" (my sarcastic voice). I can tell people like you, who always victimize Black people instead of strengthening them, cannot and will not be reasoned with. You say I'm tearing him down, but who's the one typing in ALL CAPS in response to whom? All I did was engage in a debate. It's actually you who is tearing me down….you are the one in need of a clue.

He immediately went for the Whites when he "attempted" to post a counter-response. Racism DOES exist…you are correct about that. But it is people like you, Margie Campbell-Threadgill & Tee Allknowledge, that keep it alive with your impulse to always pull the race card every time something bad happens to Black people.

If a small town made ONE Black man or woman the wealthiest in that town, while simultaneously and intentionally making every other person in that town (race immaterial) poor, would you call it racism then?

  36. Marc Shade says:

Michael Chancley Your post makes no sense whatsoever….time out for you. Rejoin the conversation when you are ready to just get to the point of what you mean.

  37. Marc Shade – This is a free opinion board and a free social media site; therefore I am free to write and express my opinions. Now you don't have to read them or respond to them. Your choice.

Now, tell me sir, who did I victimize in my post? And yes you are tearing Tee Allknowledge down by insinuating that he was/is forming his opinion without any background knowledge of race relations in this country. So, he typed in all caps; you didn't have to read his post if you were offended by the caps. I take exception to anything written in all uppercase letters too, however, I normally don't read the comments.

And no, sir, you did not engage in a debate, you responded to a poster whom you disagreed with. Period. First of all, in order to engage in a debate, one must know something about the topic under debate. Opinions without documented support don't count. Next, one must use logic in their argument, otherwise there is no debate.

Next, perhaps you weren't enlightened by what the three of us said, but that is your personal failing; not ours. It's rather difficult for one to be enlightened when that person has no starting reference point or base. It would help in your "debate" on racism in America if you would take the time to learn what the history of racism is in this country, its origins, and its perpetuation.

Knowing what institutional racism is would help you to understand why this gentleman is being jailed for six-months because of an error that his employer made and because he had the temerity to pay his child support arrearage when he found out about the error. Get a clue Marc Shade and keep your own asinine, illogical, unlearned drivel.

  38. This is so wrong,he need to sue the company, what did they do with his money.he need a good lawyer, and the Governor should step in and help.

  39. The American legal system, this is another example of someone sitting on the bench and don't having common sense to rule with compassion.

  40. Show me another example.

  41. Now he is unemployed and probably unable to pay child support. The judge that sentenced him to jail only hurt this gentleman's kid/kid's.

  42. Bobby Pegues says:

I don't even blame at and t. its the courts fault. they now that its not his fault and act as if there is nothing they can do. it's bullshit they always act like there hands are tied when in fact its there job to make sure the law is being interpreted right. this should make every man sick and every lady who wants theirs kids to know there father. we are quitely letting the government run our live more than they should. you have limited choices as a parent without government intervention and that's scary because we don't work for them and its apparen they are not working for us.

  43. Bobby Pegues says:

I promise this is the realist comment I read. some women do that and know they get free rent and shit for as long as they want plus like a extra 3 grand a year. I mean who would want that job. especially when you are responsible for a child but not being held responsible.

  44. Been there, tried that. My child support way paid in full and had receipts to show it. Judge was bought and paid for, told me "You're responsible to provide your ex-wifes change of address to Albany. The moneys there but she hasn't been paid. I sentence you to jail for six month for NOT paying child support" True F%%king story™.

  45. Christ remind me not to have kids.

  46. Margie Campbell-Threadgill Can you provide "documentation" of this happening to a White man and him NOT receiving jail time in TX after this law was imposed? Please do, so we can validate the other posters claim that this was racially motivated.

  47. Marc Shade I TYPE IN CAP SO IT CAN BE SEEN/STAND OUT. NOT BECAUSE IM RACIST.look I'm typing like you know you feel better..im 46 years old when I was 16 something I didn't understand the movement, black power, Dr king, Malcom X,.The Black Panther…I was dumb like you marc shade not in a education form but dumb in the since of where my mother and father came from and how they struggles to get where black people are today I just feel were going backwards again and I hope people of color can come together once again and stand up for this MAN because it's the right thing to do marc shadetree.

  48. Don Pangburn says:

I totally agree Doug…AT&T are the one who cause this. Yet, wouldn't step in to defend this man. That the issue.

  49. Don Pangburn says:

Marc Shade….It's my belief that the reason most black people play the race card is because it being played on us. It's no secret black ares view differently in the Judicial system than other ethnic groups. They say justice is blind but when it come to blacks it has eyes.

  50. Don Pangburn says:

Marc Shade….It's my belief that the reason most black people play the race card is because it being played on us. It's no secret black ares view differently in the Judicial system than other ethnic groups. They say justice is blind but when it come to blacks it has eyes.

  51. Rick Collins says:

Stupidest shit I ever heard. I would keep my attorney and go after ATT

  52. What the hell? At what point does common sense enter into play for the judge and the DA

  53. Torrey Hughes – No I cannot provide "documentation" of happening to a White man in Texas. I would think that a person who spends as much time as you do taking and posting pictures of him/herself on fb would take a little time to educate yourself on race matters in the country in which you live.

I would expect you or any other intelligent person to know what is meant by supporting an argument or an opinion with documentation. Sorry Torrey Hughes my friend, I simply don't have time to waste communicating with people who don't have a clue about the topic they're trying to discuss.

  54. The court had the power to suspend hus sentence. ….Texas…omg

  55. Margie Campbell-Threadgill

How typical, you present a debate based on semantics and when you are called on it, you deflect and make feeble attempts at personal insults… the hallmark of someone who has no base to stand on. You should adhere to your practice of "not replying to social media posts" until you can practice as you preach. How is that for "intelligence"?

  56. this goes to show one thing..these courts are run by criminals..next he'll be lock up again when he released for not paying child support..

  57. Rhonda Walsh says:

Why does everything always come down to race. Im starting to think who ever uses race as an excuse is the racist person here, smh. This is some fucked up shit thats happening to this man reguardless of his race!

  58. Marc Shade says:

Margie Campbell-Threadgill….You complain about ME tearing people down, yet you demonstrate your hypocrisy by trying to tear ME down with your insults….aren't YOU the pot calling the kettle Black (no pun intended).

You victimize Blacks by trying to sell racism instead of empowerment. You sell the idea that every problem that every Black person encounters is due to hatred for us. You must admit that even "you" do not know 100% of this man's story. There could have been a few actions you don't know about triggered by an action made by him that led to this situation. That's because you're too busy focusing on "institutional racism" rather than advancement of our race.

You also say that this is not a debate because I am not providing information to support that this could not happen to someone else. Well I took the liberty to providing a LINK to such information in which the very same situation happens to an ASIAN MAN…..

I want to point out the TITLE of the article to you and your friend whom you're blindly supporting. Notice that it does not include ANYTHING about the man's ethnicity/race, yet it covers a similar situation. Minus slight differences (i.e. ~ location and "probably" state laws), here is information to back up my claim that the race card is being played in the story above (please compare the two articles for yourself).

I responded to your allegations about me with information that is pertinent to my statement. NOW…..this has turned into a debate and the ball is in your court.

  59. Marc Shade says:

Torrey Hughes I, too, would love to see an example. Unfortunately, all she is able to produce is flaming comments and babble that further proves that she is part of the majority of Blacks with a victim mentality….always blaming "Whitey" for our problems and never shouldering ANY of the responsibility of their own situation.

I provided my proof that she said I did not have, now let's wait for her.

  60. Marc Shade says:

Don Pangburn I will not deny that we, the law-abiding and hard-working few, are clumped together with the many whom regularly grace the presence of courtrooms all over the country. Enough criminal-minded Blacks have come before judges, magistrates, policemen, etc. to stimulate a misconception among them about us all…..and it is unfortunate that some (or most) of the good ones fall into that mix.

However, it has to stop at some point. I feel as though it has to start with US making a stand and for the Blacks who are not in the best of environments/situations to stop blaming others and start focusing on fixing themselves….."it can be done" (I speak from experience).

You TYPE IN ALL CAPS because you lack proper forum etiquette; you are similar to a kid who shouts in a library when they should be whispering. If what you have to say is important enough, you won't have to worry about "making it stand out". ALL CAPS does not necessarily mean it will stand out; just ask "Margie Campbell-Threadgill", whom has been championing your impertinent (that means rude) comments and irrelevant (this means unrelated) responses….even "she" admits to not reading responses typed in ALL CAPS. It kind of baffles me as to why she chose to read yours :-/

You say you're 46 years old (again irrelevant information), yet you respond to my posts with the eye-gouging grammar and attitude of maybe a "4" or "6" year old. You have proven yourself thus far to be "atypical" (that means not representative of..) of the quote, "with age comes wisdom"……..NOW, I'm tearing you down a little ^_^.

By the way, here is an article I shared with your friend that tells of a similar circumstance….only the father is ASIAN ^_^.

I actually brought something to the table to accompany my opinion that race is being used as an excuse in this article and pointing out the need for Black people to stop victimizing themselves based solely on race (it's pathetic and completely works against the ideals of a strong Black community.

You call me dumb, but take a look in the mirror. I believe it's people like you who are keeping our Black communities in the dark with your morals and beliefs that anything that can and will go wrong with us is all due to every other race (specifically the Whites as you subliminally mentioned with your initial post) except for our own.

Here is a shoe that may fit you well (metaphorically speaking):

Also…..stop behaving like a child and get my name right, please and thank you in advance.

  63. Dee Bee says:

outrageous, nothing but money sucking leeches and when it comes to helping out they are no where to be seen.

  64. Marc Shade My brother is also going thru a similar case and had a good job with Gruman Aerospace–paid weekly — had check stubs to prove it–didn't do any good still did six months–lost his job and can not be hired back because guess what he now has a record–and their policy is because of his record he is not rehire-able. Then there's the case in Michigan where the child is not that man's child proven by DNA–yet he's going to jail for non-support–I don't know who you are but you need to think again–I've only seen cases that are far fetched happening to black men only–because we already know this is not a system designed for Black men–it only help those of the same kind as the designer.

  65. Marc Shade says:

Torrey Hughes Just as I told you, she wasn't going to present anything but more flaming comments to conceal the fact that she has absolutely nothing of intelligence value to bring to the table.

  66. Marc Shade says:

Margie Campbell-Threadgill You need to take your trolling flaming behind on somewhere. You obviously have contributed "nothing" of value to this. So with that said, "bye Felicia….."

  67. Marc Shade says:

Patricia Jackson Minor But I've already provided an article in which this happened to an Asian man (non-Black) in the U.S. I've provided proof that this is not just a thing that happens solely to Black men. If you have any tangible facts about the other instances which you claim to have happened, I respectfully as if you can post them here with a link and reference info so that I can read up on it.

  68. Marc Shade I MUST HAVE STRUCK A NERVE MARK SHADETREE I SEE YOU KEEP READING MY SHIT YOU WROTE A LONG RESPONSE TO MY REPOST..YOU REMIND ME OF THAT DUMB HOUSE NIGGA ON DJANGO UNCHAINED..then I see your profile picture and now I see why you talk the way you do maybe you need to look in the mirror and try to remember it's not where you came from but it about where you at. AND YOU ARE THAT GUY WHEN WHITE PEOPLE SAY IM NOT RACIST I HAVE A BLACK FRIEND. mark shadetree.

  69. A.B. Madyun says:

    Show us an example, sir!

  70. A.B. Madyun says:

Forest Whitakers Neck Who does it cost to keep him in jail except us tax payers? The real reason why they are so adamant to place this man in a cage is because it makes those investors who get a return on his incarceration wealthier. That's the real issue. No, indeed…not everyone is getting screwed…just us! See…we need to learn how the system really operates…to pay attention to what's going on around us, and what time it is.

  71. A.B. Madyun says:

True dat…but evenso, and even though they know that they have the power to exercise human sensitivity, and that they therefore have the flexibility to use reasonable discretion in such matters. But they are in bed with those wealthy investors who, between all of them, are striving to maintain a certain quota so that the investors get a return on their investment dollars. Money matters more than human lives in this decadent society where the law only works in favor of the economically privileged only…those great and wonderfuls…you know?

  72. A.B. Madyun says:

JW Keepsitreal Yeah…that's what a lot of these misinformed other folks don't realize who keep parroting that our claims of racism are a cry wolf epitaph. It is true that injustice effects every race in America, but it's also true that though we AA men only make up about 6% of the population, 50% or better of African American men are imprisoned. If it's less than that, there is still a discrepancy, because the large number of whites in prison don't represent anywhere near the percentages of Caucasians per capita who are presently serving prison sentences as for AA men!

  73. A.B. Madyun says:

Brother! To the governor, he is nothing but another n*****, and another dollar for the profiteers who are invested in the prison system!

  74. A.B. Madyun says:

If you only knew! Broke chicks ain't half of it. They are just pawns for a much bigger scheme coming from corporate America! We can't afford to get it twisted!

  75. A.B. Madyun says:

He gets his cut from the corporate investors that have all those deep dollars sunk into the prison system.

  76. Marc Shade says:

A.B. Madyun Show you an example of what?

  77. Marc Shade says:

Margie Campbell-Threadgill I guess this means we're done here since you've yet to respond to anything that was set before you. Just proves that you really are nothing but a flamer who brings nothing but irrelevant banter and instigating post to forums. And like all flames, you just simply "fizzled yourself out". Well it was fun while you lasted.

  78. Marc Shade says:

Tee Allknowledge People like you are just way too easy to deal with on forums. But there's no shame in retreating with your tail between your legs; so, go young grasshopper…..go….and never return to this place again ^_^.

  79. Athena Gay says:

Spot on, Elaine. Time for the electorate to take a stand. There are million more voters than those creating enforcing these archaic laws

  80. Athena Gay says:

Sadly, everything is about race in America, Rhonda – especially for the African race. Every American should be outraged at the atrocities taking place against the African male yet some of us indoctrinated gentry will tout claim it is not. C'est la vie!

  81. Athena Gay says:

Time to get off of Facebook and get on the streets!

  82. Marc Shade are you serious? There are plenty of working white men slacking on child support but I never saw they thrown in jail as I have seen black men. This brother's case is not uncommon in regards to how judges punish black men on child support in comparison too white men in the same situation. I have worked and seen this play out in court and the unjust manner in which some judge treat black fathers.

  83. Marc Shade says:

All you see is color…..you need to open your eyes "wide" and see the "entire situation" instead. Who's to say these guys didn't have other stuff going on that coincided with the child support problem and it just compiled and triggered the jail time? I stopped with this two months ago. I don't expect you to see anything beyond black and white.

  84. Shelby Miller Not necessarily. Some people set up a voluntary garnishment thinking it will save time. Employers regularly hold on to payments like this to get the float (interest) off the money. I have seen it happen many time.

  85. This breaks my heart. What I wouldn't give to have a father like him in my childrens lives, and he is going away? In the meantime my lousy excuse of a perverted ex is running free and nothing is being done 🙁

  86. Only, it didn't. Instead of of offering a baseless defence, give an example of it happening to someone white.

  87. Exactly. I fell to understand why the court isn't punishing AT&T. Why, knowing the truth, would the judge force a jail sentence? That in itself is criminal.

  88. I'm sorry to hear that…. You were wronged in the worst kind of way.

  89. Real woman right here. I wish you could teach a class on it….

  90. Typical ignorant, selfish black bitch that the white man loves…..
