Stevie Wonder
Iconic musician Stevie Wonder was nearly killed in 1973 when he was the passenger in a car that collided with a logging truck in South Carolina. Wonder’s driver, attempting to overtake the truck, hit the vehicle, and a log dislodged, hitting Wonder in the head. Wonder was in a coma for a four days. He suffered a severe brain contusion and part of his skull was fractured. The artist lost his sense of smell as a result of the accident.
