Jill Scott admitted she would never be a stick figure, but the soul singer is the fittest she has ever been. The “Golden” singer recalled the impetus for her desire to lose weight came after the birth of her son, Jett Hamilton, in 2009 and her inability to walk up nine steps before losing her breath.
On her exercise routine, Scott told US Weekly that she does 60 minutes of cardio and strength-training exercises three times a week with her trainer, Scott Parker. This includes kickboxing, boxing and biking outdoors. Her diet consisted of three low-fat meals and two snacks per day.
In 2011, at the time of the interview, Scott had already dropped 63 lbs. Earlier this year, ‘Jilly from Philly’ shared a current photo, showing off an even more svelte figure. (see below)
