“American Idol” season 13, episode 23: “Results Show” premieres tonight on Fox.
In tonight’s episode, one finalist’s journey will come to an end as America’s vote is revealed. The Idol Top 8 will also be revealed and Janelle Monae will make an appearance as a guest performer.
Fox describes the show as follows:
“American Idol” is the hit Fox musical reality series. Four judges: Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Keith Urban and Randy Jackson II, along with host Ryan Seacrest, search the U.S. for the next American Idol, a pop star who truly shines above all the rest. Past judges included Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Kara DioGuardi, Steven Tyler & Ellen DeGeneres. With help from the viewers, they will decide from thousands of participants who will walk away with a record deal and the fame and fortune that is sure to come along with it. It has since emerged as a hit series in its own right, propelling Fox to the top of television rankings, inspiring various merchandise, and launching the careers of many hit-stars, including Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson (season one winner) and Phillip Phillips (last season’s winner).”
