“Justified” season 5, episode 6, “Shoot The Messenger” premieres tonight on FX.
In this week’s episode, an attack on Alison sends Raylan to Harlan in search of payback, while Boyd scrambles to arrange protection for Ava.
The series, which is in its fifth season, follows Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant), a modern-day 19th-century-style lawman, who is enforcing his brand of justice in a way that puts a target on his back with criminals and places him at odds with his bosses in the Marshal service, resulting in a reassignment from Miami to his childhood home in the poor, rural coal-mining towns in Eastern Kentucky.
“Justified” was developed by Graham Yost and has received widespread critical acclaim, particularly for its acting, directing, art direction and writing, as well as for Olyphant’s lead performance. Justified has been nominated for seven Primetime Emmy Awards as of 2012, with two wins, for Margo Martindale’s performance as Mags Bennett and Jeremy Davies’ performance as Dickie Bennett.
“Justified” season 5, episode 6, “Shoot The Messenger,” airs Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
