Gabrielle Union Dishes on ‘Porn Diet’ and Out Trash-Talking Richard Sherman

Gabrielle Union on the Porn diet Gabrielle Union blissfully ignored troubled relationship rumors when she appeared on Conan on Tuesday night and instead dished about her new “porn diet” and how she makes trash-talking Seattle Seahawks Richard Sherman look like a “zen Buddhist.”

Union sat down with Conan O’Brien and revealed that her toned physique is inspired by all the porn stars who work out at her gym.

“I’m on the porn diet,” she told the late night talk show host. “I’m blessed to work out at a gym that has a lot of adult-entertainment actresses, a lot of porn gals – salt of the earth! Really sweet girls.”

Needless to say the term “porn diet” sparked a few naughty jokes by Conan, but Union explained that the so-called diet is more about copying her gym mates drinks at the juice bar.

“What’s crazy is that I’ll follow them to – like, the gyms have the juice bar – and I watch and see what they’re ordering,” she said before throwing in a naughty joke of her own. “I’m like ‘Ah, vegan’… Let’s sit with it… They don’t eat meat. There you go… interesting.”

In addition to spying on the girls’ orders at the juice bar, she admitted that she also tries to get some workout tips on getting a great butt.

“I’ve seen your work, I love it, let me get some tips – not on that, but ‘cause your butt looks great,” she said. “But I also compete with them and they don’t realize it. We’re basically having the ultimate Olympics. They’re just not aware that we’re in competition with each other.”

Union also revealed that although her petite frame is inspired by adult film stars, her courtside trash-talking is inspired by the rough men of the NFL.

Even before she began dating Miami Heat basketball star Dwyane Wade, Union was a big fan of the Miami Heat so when she gets wrapped up in a good game no one is safe.

“I make Richard Sherman seem like a zen Buddhist,” she told Conan, referencing Sherman’s post-game interview where he called out the San Francisco 49ers’ Michael Crabtree. “I’m like dance mom.”

In addition to heckling other players, Union said she loves getting the chance to bother the officials.

She said one of her personal favorites is, “You’ll get your Viagra if you just make a call!”

So there you have it – the body of an adult film star and the attitude of a hyped-up NFL cornerback on his way to the Super Bowl.

Independent journalism doesn't fund itself.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
