Michael Jordan is getting ready to welcome his first child by wife Yvette Preito into the world after the couple recently married about seven months ago.
The NBA legend and Yvette have been together for five years now and are finally ready to start making a family together.
Michael already has three children from his previous marriage to Juanita Venoy, to whom he was married for 17 years before splitting back in 2006.
His two sons, Jeffrey Michael and Marcus James are 24 and 22 respectively.
He also has a younger daughter, Jasmine, who is 19 years old.
The couple tied the knot back in April with a lavish wedding in Palm Beach, Florida.
Over 300 close friends and family joined the couple at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-By-The-Sea Church, many of those friends being A-list celebrities.
Robin Thicke, Usher, Tiger Woods and Spike Lee were all in attendance at the wedding.
The guests at the wedding ceremony seemed modest compared to the huge celebration the couple had afterwards.
The reception was held at the Bear’s Club in Jupiter, Florida, where a giant 40,000 square foot tent kept guests shaded from the sun and the spying eye of the paparazzi.
The reception brought out more than 1,500 guests but since the tent was larger than Michael Jordan’s own mansion, they were all able to mingle in the shade quite comfortably.
This isn’t Michael Jordan’s first time making headlines for becoming a father either, but it’s certainly the first time this year that the news turned out to be true.
Earlier this year Michael was wrapped up in a legal battle with a woman who claimed the NBA star was the father of her teenage son. Further investigation revealed that Pamela Smith had already determined that her ex-husband was the father of her son despite making a request for Michael to take a paternity test as well.
Eventually, Smith dropped the paternity suit claiming it was in the best interest for her son although she has still made claims that she believes the NBA star is her son’s real father.
Michael then faced yet another paternity suit from another woman who claimed M.J. was the father of her 2-year-old daughter. Her lawsuit was also unsuccessful and both women were actually ordered to pay Michael’s legal fees.
