Ashanti was one of the biggest R&B singers of the early 2000’s as she and Ja Rule catapulted the record label Murder Inc. to stardom. However as Murder Inc. fell off, so did Ashanti’s career. Now the New York singer is trying to rejuvenate her career and has released a new track entitled “I Got It” with Rick Ross. As reported by stupiddope.com:
“Seems like it’s been a minute since we have heard from Ashanti, but the songstress is back today with something brand new. She decided today to release her brand new track called “I Got It” in which she links up with MMG bossman, Rick Ross.
The track is a smoothed out, catchy number that finds both artists bringing their A-game to the table and showing off their respective talents. Ashanti floats upon the track nicely, while Rozay gives us a smooth set of bars that fits nicely with the feel and context of the track.”
Ashanti’s singing career isn’t the only thing making a comeback as she’s also getting back into the acting arena. Ashanti will be appearing in a Lifetime movie called “Christmas In The City” which is set to premiere in December.
