Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard was handed down a fine for tossing the ball at a fan during the team’s Wednesday night 123-120 loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
After the Rocket star was fouled inside the paint, he was immediately heckled by a fan behind the baseline. Howard grabbed the ball and tapped it toward a man in the stands, who batted the ball back onto the court.
The NBA hit Howard with a $25,000 fine for flipping the ball at the fan. He also received a technical foul. From the NBA’s Twitter account it announced:
“HOU’s Dwight Howard fined $25,000 for throwing ball into stands during Houston’s 123-120 loss to Dallas on Nov. 20.”
