“Scandal” season 3, episode 8: “Vermont is for Lovers, Too” premieres tonight on ABC.
A synopsis of “Vermont is for Lovers, Too” is as follows:
“Olivia and the team try to handle both uncovering the truth behind Operation Remington, while also managing a potential crisis with the Josie Marcus campaign. Meanwhile, Quinn falls further down the rabbit hole with Charlie, and Cyrus creates a plan to take down Sally, but doesn’t think of the possible harm he could inflict on himself.”
ABC’s description of Scandal season 3 reads:
“Everyone has a secret and Olivia Pope has dedicated her life to protecting and defending the public images of the nation’s elite and keeping those secrets under wraps. Revered and feared at the same time, Olivia, a former communications director to the President of the United States, left the White House to open her own prominent crisis management firm. She is hoping to start a new chapter in her life — both professionally and personally — but she can’t seem to completely cut ties with her past. Slowly it becomes apparent that her dysfunctional staff, who specialize in fixing other people’s lives, can’t quite fix the ones closest at hand – their own.
“The creator and executive producers of Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice delve into the behind-the-scenes machinations of a mesmerizing top crisis manager in ABC’s highly anticipated new drama, Scandal. Hate Fitz and Olivia being back together, although I guess it does cause more drama. Fitz is bad news. I was so agitated by the scene where Fitz and Olivia argue about what they should have told each other, but then he presents the house to her as theirs and she falls for him all over
again – I just wanted to jump into the screen and tell her to run away. It was really well-acted though, just not what I wanted to happen.
Also I noticed they use "The Light" by The Album Leaf during the background of this scene – that song has been used so much by this show that it's practically the honorary theme song, but I really like the tune so no complaints here.
