“Iyanla, Fix My Life” season 2, episode 8: “Fix My Abusive Marriage” premieres tonight on OWN.

In this week’s episode, Iyanla travels to Dallas for a story that hits close to home: a marriage in crisis as a wife confronts her abusive husband.  In Texas she delivers a wake-up call to O.J. and Janetria, a couple in an abusive marriage. As O.J. attends an intervention group for domestic abusers, Iyanla shares her own survival story with Janetria. Watch as Iyanla reveals how she escaped an abusive relationship. Can she fix this abusive marriage before it’s too late?

    I was in an abusive marriage , and I do not agree when Iyanla blames the victim too. I felt it was always my fault, finally was able to get out and stay away and learned that it was not my fault . I did not deserve the abuse !!!! It is a cycle and that cycle needs to be broken. No one ever deserves to be abused.
